In the early hours of Wednesday morning, 78-year-old Trump made history when he became on the second president ever to reclaim the office after losing his first bid for re-election.

Less than a day after the election results were announced, the undisputed queen of Olympic gymnastics turned her attention to the outgoing President Joe Biden with a bold plea.

“Mr Biden, I need you to stand up, straighten your back and make some things shake before your departure. xoxo the women in America,” Biles stated on X, signaling a call to action from Biden during his final months in office.

However, the gymnast's tweet has received a mixed response from users, with some stating that Biden should have done more during his time in-office, and others just outrightly saying that Biles didn't speak for them.

One person responded: "You mean something he should have done during the Biden/Harris Administration over the last 4 years? Why would he do it now?"

A second wrote: "Nice directive. Unfortunately, you don’t speak for all women."

"You flip well but you do NOT speak for me as a woman Simone," a third replied.

Earlier on Election Day, Biles had openly supported Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic nominee, showing her disappointment after Harris' defeat with a series of emotional posts on Threads. “We deserve better,” she wrote, accompanied by a broken heart emoji, and added: “I’m SO sorry America.”

Off the political stage, Biles has continued to cement her legacy as one of America's greatest Olympians thanks to her gymnastic prowess.

This year, at the Paris Olympic Games, Biles added to her legendary status by clinching three golds and a silver medal, bringing her impressive tally to 11 Olympic medals over her career.
