Two Oklahoma officers shot during traffic stop, suspect still at large

A manhunt is underway in Tulsa, Oklahoma as cops are searching for an "armed and dangerous" suspect following the shooting of two police officers.

Per Fox News, David Ware shot at officers "multiple times" during a traffic stop and fled the scene on foot. The officers are now in critical condition and are undergoing surgery.

A post uploaded to the official Tulsa Police Department Facebook page reads:

"Officers Shot - Suspect on the loose

"Suspect - David Ware ***ARMED AND DANGEROUS***

"Officers stopped the suspect at 8900 E. 21st street at about 3:30 AM, a scuffle ensued with the suspect, Ware pulled a gun on the officers and fired multiple times.

"Both Officers were shot and are in critical condition undergoing surgery.

"The suspect fled on foot from the area and we are actively searching for him.

"If you live in this area be very aware of your surroundings, if your dogs are barking call us and we'll come check it out. If he is willing to shoot at us, he is likely willing to shoot at anyone."

The department also toldĀ Fox 23 that one of the wounded officers is a rookie that had graduated from the police academy within the last year, while the other is a sergeant.
