United Airlines breaks silence after woman says she was forced to sit next to man who masturbated while staring at her
United Airlines has finally issued a response after a woman was allegedly left trapped next to a masturbating man while onboard one of the company's flights.
The woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons due to being a victim of sexual harassment, was left horrified when she was sat next to a man who was allegedly visibly pleasuring himself while staring at her mid-flight.
Woman allegedly subjected to sexual harassment onboard flight
The 25-year-old alleges that despite requesting to move seats, airline staff were unable to accommodate her due to no available seating elsewhere in the aircraft, before being told that they would be landing in three to five minutes.
The woman, who was traveling from New York to New Jersey, then revealed that the landing and disembarkation took much longer than anticipated.
"On multiple instances, I said I feel uncomfortable doing that," the woman admitted when discussing when she was asked to return to her seat next to the man.
Despite the ordeal she was allegedly subjected to, the woman claims that she was left stunned by the dismissive and rude attitude of airline staff. She reportedly approached a United employee after leaving the aircraft only to be greeted a rude and curt manner.
"What am I supposed to do about it?" the agent supposedly quipped, before claiming that it was the woman's responsibility to request a police response.
The man was described as "pretty normal looking and unassuming" and between 35 and 40 years old.
"I just got the sense he had done it before... People don't just do these things at 6AM," she reported.
"It is the the first time I've been purposely trapped by people who were supposed to be helping me," she claimed
