The White House has confirmed that President Joe Biden is in good health after he was filmed stumbling on a flight of stairs while boarding an Air Force One jet yesterday.
According to The Guardian, the incident occurred on Friday, March 19, as the POTUS was filmed boarding the presidential plane to visit Atlanta from Joint Base Andrews in Maryland.
Take a look at this video of the incident below:As you can see in the footage above, Biden made it halfway up the red-carpeted flight of steps, before tripping up and stumbling three times. He recovered quickly and then boarded the plane without further incident, giving a salute prior to entering.
As Biden is 78 years old (and the oldest serving president in the history of the United States), a number of viewers of the footage expressed concerns about his health.

However, Per the Guardian, deputy White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre has since commented on the incident by telling reporters that President Biden is doing just fine, and that the high winds were to blame for the mishap.
Jean-Pierre stated:
"It’s very windy. I almost fell coming up the steps myself. He is doing 100% fine."
And when asked if President Biden was subsequently checked by a doctor, Jean-Pierre said: "I just – all I know is – I can tell you is he’s doing fine. He’s doing great."
In the wake of the incident, a number of Biden's critics used the hashtag "#BidenFall" to criticize the President. However, a number of Biden's supporters have since hijacked the hashtag to praise his administration's handling of the Covid-19 pandemic.
For instance, human rights lawyer Qasim Rashi wrote on Twitter: "#BidenFall is trending so a reminder that under Biden deaths have fallen each week and we just hit 100M vaccination shots."
Meanwhile, Westworld actor Jeffery Wright tweeted: "I don't care if Joe Biden trips on the Air Force 1 stairs stone drunk after an all-nighter, so long as he keeps pounding COVID with this vaccine roll-out."
Another Twitter user wrote: "In regards to #bidenfall...who cares????????????? The president is human and we have literally all done this. [sic]"
Finally, actress Nancy Lee Grahn added: "The elegant, dignified, classy recovery is what's newsworthy. That's the President that I've fallen for. #Bidenfall. [sic]"
