Whoopi Goldberg has responded to Donald Trump branding her "dirty" and "dumb" at recent rallies.
During recent rallies, 78-year-old Trump unleashed a tirade against Goldberg, describing her as "demented" and calling her language "filthy dirty" and "disgusting".

Trump also labeled Goldberg and her co-hosts on The View as "dumb".
It comes after Trump's political rival and presidential nominee Kamala Harris appeared on the talk show on Tuesday.
At one recent rally, Trump spoke about hiring Goldberg in the past, saying: "I've hired Whoopi to work for me as a comedian before this, a long time ago, and I went. I'm not particularly shy about what I hear. Her mouth was so foul. Every word out of her mouth was like, the F-word.
"I was with a group of nice people. We had to leave. She was so filthy dirty, disgusting, half the place left. I said I'd never hire her again. But, she was so dirty, every word was filthy dirty, and then I left. ... Oh, what a loser she is."
Not one to take things lying down, Goldberg used these comments as a springboard for a powerful retort. The show kicked off with Christina Aguilera's 'Dirrty' playing in the background as the hosts walked out to greet the viewers. As Goldberg explained, "it's one of the words that You-Know-Who used when he was talking about me".

Addressing Trump's comments head-on, Goldberg proudly owned the "filthy" label: "I was filthy, and stand on that fact.
"I have always been filthy, and you knew that when you hired me."
As she recalled headlining at Trump's casino, she quipped she "might've continued to play had [Trump] not run it into the ground."
Goldberg' then called out Trump labeling her as "dumb", pointing out: "How dumb are you? You hired me four times."
Sunny Hostin, Senior Legal Correspondent for ABC News, added her own twist of irony and gratitude to Trump: "Donald Trump, I thank you for personally telling so many lies and committing so many alleged crimes and providing us with material on a daily basis.
"You help us do our jobs, and I'm so appreciative."

However, Hostin delivered a particularly brutal comment when she extended an invitation to Trump to appear on The View, doubting whether he'd be comfortable "sitting so close to a prosecutor."
Alyssa Farah Griffin, former Trump administration communication director, also weighed in, emphasizing Trump's challenges with strong women and noting his "filthier mouth" than Goldberg's.
She then questioned whether or Trump's comments at his rallies are starting to wear thin on the electorate: "The more people hear the crazy, the meanness, the name-calling. They're just over it. It's exhausting."
Goldberg concluded the segment by pointing out the triviality of Trump's focus on their show amidst greater national crises like the recent hurricanes. "This is what irritated him, not what's going on," she noted. "Hurricanes, all kind of stuff going on in our country, but we irritated him to the point where he had to admit he does watch the show, something we all knew.
"So when you hear people say, 'I don't watch that show,' they're lying!"
