A woman who flew a banner reading "convict Trump" over the Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida has branded him a "dictator."
Speaking exclusively to the Huffington Post, the woman in question - who asked to remain anonymous and be referred to by the moniker "S" - works for an aircraft company on the West Coast and is a fierce critic of the former Republican president.
Take a look at Donald Trump's farewell address in the video below:Upon hearing the news that air restrictions had been dropped over the Mar-a-Lago, where he currently resides following his departure from the White House, S came up with a scheme to raise awareness of Trump's impeachment trial in the senate.
S contacted the Daytona Beach-based company Aerial Messages and arranged to have planes fly with two banners over the former POTUS' golf resort.
Per the HuffPost, one banner, which read "Convict Trump and Lock Him Up," flew over Mar-a-Lago on Friday, January 12. And another banner, reading "GOP Grow a Spine and Expel Trump", flew over the Daytona International Speedway during practice runs for Sunday’s Daytona 500 race.
Commenting on her stunt, S remained adamant that she had done the right thing, and even went so far as to brand Trump a "dictator," and called Trump's escape from conviction in the Senate trial over the weekend: "Expected, yet infuriating."
Trump addressed his impeachment in the following video filmed from The White House:A defiant S also stated:
"I couldn’t believe what I was seeing.
"When Trump started talking about a third term and then started a chant at a rally of: '12 more years,′ I thought: 'That’s it. That’s a dictator.'"
She continued: "My parents immigrated from Cuba in the 1960s. They know what a dictator looks like.
"Trump and his supporters are authoritarian, completely offensive; they stand for what’s completely contradictory to this country’s ideals.
"I added the lock him up part because of what Trump always said about Hillary Clinton."
Per HuffPost, Aerial Messages CEO Remy Colin has confirmed that his company was responsible for two other banners which flew over the Golf resort in January.
One of these read: "Trump You Pathetic Loser Go Back to Moscow", while the other bore the legend: "Trump Worst President Ever,"
Commenting on the stunt, the man responsible for those banners (who has also not identified himself) told The Times: "I want to show people that they can tell Donald Trump what they think of him - and that their emperor has no clothes."
