An OnlyFans model who was dubbed the "Mexican Kim Kardashian" has reportedly died after undergoing "botched butt lift surgery".

Joselyn Cano, who lived in Newport Beach, California, allegedly died on December 7 after traveling to Colombia for the cosmetic procedure, the Daily Mail and The Sun have reported.

The news of her reported death was broken by fellow influencer Lira Mercer, however, Cano's family have yet to confirm the news.

Joselyn had 12.8million followers on Instagram and she worked as a model, social media influencer, and fashion designer. She was 29 years old.

Fellow influencer Mercer broke the news of Joselyn's death on social media.

"Omg Joselyn Cano died in Colombia getting surgery. That's wild," she wrote.

A funeral service for the model was reportedly streamed on Youtube from California this week, however, her family has yet to release a statement about the 29-year-old's death.

A message on the stream read: "Joselyn entered this life on Wednesday, March 14, 1990. She entered into Eternal Life on Monday, December 07, 2020."

Tributes poured in for Joselyn on social media when news of her death broke.

"What the f**k? Joselyn cano died from getting a [Brazilian butt lift]? That s**t is crazy," one wrote.

"Rip #JoselynCano. So young and so beautiful," said another.

The surgery, which took place in Columbia, was reportedly the second Brazilian butt lift undertaken by the model.

Medical professionals have previously raised concerns about the safety of the procedure.

The surgery can cause complications as a result of fat being accidentally injected into a patient's vein and entering into their bloodstream, which can cause potentially fatal clots.

USA Today reported one study which found that the death rate from the procedure is one in 3,000 but other data on the subject found that it could be as high as one in 500.

This comes after another woman asked Donald Trump to help fund her $7,000 butt lift. Carla Bellucci took to Instagram to ask the Republican leader for money.

In the video in question, Bellucci states: "I just want to say, when we have socialised medicines available like we do here in the UK on the NHS, everything's up for grabs. So this is a message for you Donald Trump, I would like you to help me in my crowdfunding page on getting my butt implants. And on that note, I just want to say, god bless America."

In another appeal to the public, Carla asserted:

"I need it for my mental health, for my self-esteem and it is just something that I need doing so bad and I know I can't pay for it."

"The NHS definitely won't pay for it this time. I don't know why, transgenders get operations left, right and center but they will not pay for my bum lift. So I am relying on you guys, the great British public, to donate."
