A 22-month-old toddler left his family stunned after he accidentally spent $2,000 during a Walmart shopping spree.
Yes, if you needed any more proof that kids are growing up fast, just look at this little big spender.
Despite being just shy of two years old, Ayaansh Kumar successfully managed to order $2,000 worth of furniture from Walmart's online store.
The tech-savvy toddler's parents, Pramod and Madhu Kumar, were left baffled when multiple pieces of furniture started to be delivered to their New Jersey home.
Speaking to TODAY, husband Pramod said: "My wife does online shopping, so at the time, she was checking some things on Walmart and she added to a cart."
The father added: "She was not intending to purchase those, she just added to a cart and said, 'OK, we’ll come back later.'"
However, without their knowledge, young Ayaansh managed to access his mom's online shopping cart and hit the 'Place Order' button - for $2,000 worth of furniture. This led to a string of deliveries to the Kumar household, which the family had moved into back in March of 2021.
The shopping haul included flower stands and accent chairs, but the dad says they're still receiving packages.
"We have a bunch of packages," Pramod said. "Like today, there are two packages just sitting outside of our house."
Speaking to NBC New York, mom Madhu added: "He’s so little, he’s so cute, we were laughing that he ordered all this stuff."
The parents revealed that little Ayaansh has spent a lot of his time over the last two years watching his parents and two older siblings work and learn from home - and it appears he's been keeping a close eye.
In fact, when NBC New York reporter Jen Maxfield handed the toddler her phone, he was able to close the calendar app, send an email to Maxfield's mother and scroll through her contacts.
Pramod has said that from now on, the family will implement facial recognition and passcode security measures on their devices, to prevent the toddler from gaining access.
Additionally, Ayaansh's mom and dad say they are going to wait until all the parcels have been delivered, before returning them to Walmart for a full refund.
Nevertheless, the family has found a lot of laughs in the whole situation, with Pramod saying: "He's totally clueless to what he did, because nothing he ordered is of interest to him."
