A woman has shared how she feels about the fact her embarrassing accidental flashing has now been seen by over 20 million people.
Now, getting locked out of your own house is always an embarrassing situation. But for one woman in the UK, it quickly went from bad to worse to absolutely mortifying after the video of her attempting to get into her home was shared on social media.
Lisa Rowland from London found herself at the center of an unexpected viral sensation after an unfortunate mishap last June. Little did she know that attempting to break into her own house would lead to her unintentional online fame, with over 20 million people witnessing her comical ordeal.
The incident occurred when Lisa realized she had locked her keys inside her home, leaving her no choice but to climb in through a window. However, what followed was an unexpected twist that no one saw coming. Check out the hilarious footage below:
Lisa's escapade was captured on camera by her sister, Nicole, as she dangled upside down from the window frame. As gravity took its course, her black bandeau dress failed to hold up, causing her to become pressed against the window and fully exposed to her entire neighborhood.
This hilarious mishap, which unfolded on June 20 last year, lay dormant for seven months until it suddenly went viral across social media platforms.
Lisa recounted her unforgettable experience on the UK chat show This Morning, sharing her side of the story. "I just let go of everything," she said. And he means that quite literally, as one of the first things she let go of was her bladder.
"I weed around my neck. I felt like [I was hanging there] for a really long time… it might look like seconds. My legs are too long, I couldn’t get them in! I fell to the ground covered in urine," she wrote. "I’d passed the point of panic."
Hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary were in disbelief as they listened to Lisa's comical narrative, with urine "dripping down her neck" while the video was recorded.
Despite the incident occurring last summer and Lisa being unaware of its online presence, she received a phone call late one evening informing her that she was "all over Facebook." Her reaction? "I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry," she admitted.
However, despite her bare chest now being seen by over 20 million people on X, Lisa has taken her unexpected fame in stride, finding comfort in the positive comments and the fact that she had brought laughter to so many people. "I love a bit of laughter, you know?" she said with a smile.
Lisa also revealed that she believes that a woman named Ruth from Northern Ireland played a pivotal role in making the video go viral. "It’s etched in my soul," Lisa added. "We didn’t put it on any social media. Nobody knows [Ruth] or how she got [the video], but thanks to her, I’ve had a good day out."
As a humorous takeaway from the incident, Lisa now humorously wears her keys around her neck, ensuring they "never leave her" again.
It certainly tops the moment I had to crawl through my kitty door in order to retrieve my keys. Bless you, Lisa.
