A woman has taken to TikTok to reveal that the unique name she kept for her son has become the center of a debate online.
Calyn Breann, also known by her TikTok handle @calynbreann, shared a clip of herself with her baby, Coast, alongside the caption: "You should have named him something different, his name won't age well."
It seems as though the California native has been receiving negative comments surrounding the moniker, but she doubled down on her response by putting "I love my baby coast!!!!" in the caption.
Upon seeing the video, a lot of people took to the comments to offer their support for the name.
"Coast is such a good name!", one user said.
"Grandpa coast, sounds fine to me," another added, using the name as a potential future term.
A third commented: "Great name! People need to get over it, no different than River or Brooklyn."
Someone else even compared it to Kim Kardashian's kids, saying: "I think it is nice. How about Kim Kardashian naming her kids 'points on a compass' will their name age gracefully?"
However, others weren't as nice about it when they found out.
One user wrote that she would give "anything for her to change his name," while another gave the mom some other unique options to pick from including "Highway" and "Kiosk."
A third seemed to be really passionate about how much they hated the name, stating that it is "the worst f****** name."
Someone else commented a really bad 2Pac-inspired joke about raising him on the east/west coast while another user just straight up laughed about the name.
Calyn often uses her platform to share relatable content about being a mom with a two-month-old baby.
Previously, she has shared other adorable clips of Coast, including one where she's dancing with her son right after he's puked on her - oh the joys of being a mother.
It's nice to see that Calyn is enjoying the journey though, despite the haters and their negativity.
