It's been a tough year for love. After the seemingly blissful couple
Chris Pratt and
Anna Faris announced their
separation, all of us who branded them as "couple goals" were left heartbroken and disillusioned. "What is love" we pondered as we walked to work, and "is it just all a lie" we existentially questioned into the early hours of the morning...
After all, Anna and Chris weren't just
any celebrity coupling. Despite their great success and the fact that they both won the genetic lottery, Anna and Chris appeared to be very down to earth. So naturally we all shed a tear (or two) when Anna posted the following announcement on her Twitter account in August:
“We are sad to announce we are legally separating. We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed. Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward. We still love each other and will always cherish our time together."

Understandably, Anna and Chris have since remained tight-lipped about the situation. However, Chris Pratt recently posted a heartwarming video of him and his son on Instagram and revealed how he's finding being a single parent.
Chris Pratt took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a video of him and his five-year-old son, Jack. In the clip, Jack can be seen enjoying life on the farm, feeding some sheep and playing with the pigs. Jack has been spending the majority of his time with his mother, Anna Faris, whom the Parks and Recreation star separated from in August of last year.
In the caption, the 38-year-old made it clear that he'd been missing his son. He wrote:
"Livin’ that #farmlife. Missing home, missing the farm, missing the boy, missing the island. So I’m sharing this video as a way to express my gratitude for all the blessings in my life and to entice any of you watching this who may feel unease or anxiety with the state of our world to just breathe, slow down, go outside, find something not man made and give it a good look. A leaf. A bug. A cloud. A sheep. As William Cullen Bryant says, 'Seek communion with her visible form....go forth under the open sky and list to nature’s teachings.' What a beautiful creation over which we’ve been given the responsibility of stewardship."

The majority of the actor's fans loved the sentiment. One Instagram user wrote, "I adore you and what you stand for", while another corroborated "God bless you and your family Chris... I am a huge fan of your work".
However, others were less than pleased about Chris Pratt's choice to eat meat, and his treatment of animals. The Guardians of the Galaxy star posted an Instagram photo last week of sheep meat, and many were appalled by his lifestyle choices. "Killer raising someone to kill instead of preserving life," one user wrote, and another added, "omg such beautiful animals In hope you don't kill them they r unconditional love".

But irrespective of what side of the meat debate you're on, I think we can all agree that Chris Pratt's Instagram video is super adorable. There's nothing like the bond between father and son, right?
