Remember
Mariah Carey's New Year's Eve performance last year? Y'know, the one at Times Square where she was completely out of sync with her lip-synching, and when she randomly stopped singing through different songs because she just really didn't give a f**k and because she needed to complain about the show's production team, before storming off stage in the middle of the most climactic part of her performance?

She later blamed her disastrous "New Year’s Rockin’ Eve" on the show's producers, but her sassy attitude in response to the technical glitches was really what left the millions of people watching the show stunned. Her diva-
tantrum made headlines all over the world, and yet she was invited back to do it all again only twelve months later (??).
And sure enough, the 47-year-old singer returned to the same stage in an effort that might've helped her redeem herself from last year's fiasco. But nope, here we go again because she can't seem to go through a performance these days without it leading to some kind of hissy fit. And this time around, it was about a hot beverage.

Carey was performing in freezing cold temperatures, standing on a raised platform in front of roughly one million viewers in New York city huddled together in temperatures of -13 degrees Celsius. But when factoring in windchill, the air reportedly felt more like -21, which is pretty bloody cold.
After finishing her rendition of Vision of Love, Carey revealed to the audience that she was feeling the chill – despite the white shaggy rug she was wearing over her slinky gown – by saying that she'd like a hot tea.
"I’m just going to take a sip of tea if they’ll let me," she said. "They told me there would be tea."

When no-one brought her a steaming mug of the stuff, Carey declared: "Ugh, it’s a disaster. Okay, well, we’ll just have to rough it. I’m going to be just like everybody else with no hot tea." And while the tea-less plebs stood there shivering, half of them bemused by what had just happened and half of them collectively rolling their eyes, she finished her performance with no further fuss and a version of her 1993 hit Hero.
But of course, Twitter had something to say about Carey's desire for hot liquids during her seven-minute performance.

To be fair, the air must've been
super dry and chilly, and a hot tea probably would've helped Carey and her ol' vocal chords. The good news? She got her cuppa in the end. The bad news? The millions of spectators probably didn't.

Well, you get what you fight for, folks.
