1. They always kiss hello and goodbye
While this may seem like a pointless habit, it means that you and your partner connect twice a day. Taking time to look your partner in the eyes and give them a kiss shows that you prioritize your relationship, even if it is first thing in the morning and you haven't brushed your teeth yet.
2. They dish out the compliments
Despite a lot of us not knowing how to take them, everyone likes a compliment from time-to-time. You can never give too many sincere compliments, but try and stay away from tacky, slimy ones. Compliments will make your partner feel confident and valued, something which is priceless.

Couples argue, that's part and parcel of life in a relationship. However, the key thing is learning how to overcome your differences in a sensible and mature way. 5. They love a bit of PDA
PDA: You either love it, or you absolutely loathe it. However, a little PDA can go a long way into letting your partner know that you are proud to be with them. 6. They Communicate effectively
The happiest couples will make sure that they spend time listening to the needs of one another. You can't expect your partner to be able to read your mind and know exactly what you're thinking, so spending time discussing your feelings allows you to get things out in the open before they reach boiling point.

However, those couples who make time for some fun in the sheets from time-to-time tend to be the happiest.
8. They laugh together
Laughter is the best medicine and your relationship should be one of the places where you get the majority of your giggles. It's easy for you to end up saving your jokes for a friend or a co-worker, but when you stop laughing with your partner, your relationship loses that joy and spirit it needs.
9. They talk about their finances
Fighting over money is one of the top reasons for divorce, so talking about your financial situation with your partner is key. Even if you're struggling and embarrassed to tell them, it's best to let them know before things completely erupt.
10. They give each other the benefit of the doubt
It's not unusual to think that your partner is on a completely different page to you. However, if you are going through a tough time, remember that they're on the same team as you and that you both care for each other.
