Adult film star Jesse Jane's cause of death has been disclosed by officials.

Back in January, the 43-year-old - whose full name is Cynthia Ann Howell - was found dead at her home alongside her boyfriend, Brett Hasenmueller.

The couple was discovered deceased after authorities conducted a welfare check at their residence in Moore, Oklahoma, as reported by TMZ.

Police arrived at the property after Hasenmueller's employer voiced concerns that they hadn't heard from him in some time.

A new report from TMZ reveals that the adult star died of an accidental fentanyl and cocaine overdose, according to the Oklahoma City Medical Examiner's office.

Jane first made a name for herself in the industry more than 20 years ago, and landed her first major contract in 2002, with Digital Playground. She is known for her work for Playboy, where she hosted a popular live show, Night Calls.

The late star also made appearances in media, such as a cameo appearance in the 2004 comedy film Starsky & Hutch, a remake of the original TV show.

She also displayed her acting skills on TV, having a guest role on the popular HBO series, Entourage, where she starred opposite Adrian Grenier, Kevin Connolly, Kevin Dillon, and Jerry Ferrara.

Later in her career, Jane appeared in several documentaries about the adult entertainment business, including CNBC’s Porn: Business of Pleasure. She briefly retired from the screen in 2017, before making an eventual return by releasing a hugely successful line of sex toys.

Many of Jane's devastated friends paid tribute to her on social media after the announcement of her death in January.

One person named Joone penned on X: "I am heartbroken by the loss of my friend, Jesse Jane, who was a remarkable person and a phenomenal artist. She touched so many lives with her grace and beauty, her infectious laugh, and a smile that lit up the world. I’m honored to have known her and to have been her friend."

Joe D'Amico expressed his sorrow, writing: "It is with a heavy heart, I am shocked & saddened by the news my dear friend of over 20 years, Cindy Howell also known as adult film star, Jesse Jane has passed away. My thoughts and prayers go out to her son. Rest In Peace, Jess…(one of our first pics, 21 years ago & our last pic, last January)."

Jane is survived by her son.

Our thoughts continue to go out to her loved ones at this time.
