Emilia Clarke and Jason Momoa got drunk together at a mini 'Game of Thrones' reunion
While Game of Thrones is pretty much over until 2019, self-confessed Throners still manage to get a buzz over anything related to the hit HBO fantasy television series. Whether that's stalking Cersei, Daenerys and Jon Snow's real-life counterparts, binge-watching the entire series from season one, or dipping into George R. R Martin's gargantuan novels, the die-hard fans are most definitely on it.
As such, fans of the show were delighted to discover that Jason Momoa and Emilia Clarke - that is - the Mother of Dragons and her late husband, Khal Drogo, are still super close and actually got drunk together at a recent Game of Thrones reunion.
While it may have been six whole years since Khal Drogo and Daenerys were living out their passionate romance, it appears that not a day has passed for the respective actors, Jason Momoa and Emilia Clarke, who are as close as ever. In a platonic way, of course!
Emilia and Jason had a little catch-up in London over the weekend, as Jason was in the city to promote his latest feature, Justice League.
The actress who catapulted to stardom after playing Game of Thrones' Mother of Dragons took to her Instagram account to share a picture of the two, who seemed oh-so-happy to be reunited. She wrote:
"When life is so good that your sun and stars is in your city...you lose your eyes and gain 5 grins (and gins) where until now they'd only been one... (*grins- there's always more gins) @prideofgypsies YOU ALWAYS MOTHER OF DRAGONS MAIN MAN"
And of course, fans of the hit fantasy series were delighted to see one of their favourite couplings back together. One Instagram user said "Ok here’s the deal. Does he have a wife? You two need to be married IRL", while another just added "couple goals". But although Jason is happily married to Lisa Bonet, other viewers were just happy that the two had kept in touch after all this time, writing:
"So much joy in this one picture. No words needed! Love that you two share such a strong friendship off screen! Much love!"
Jason also felt the need to commemorate the moment, he captioned his Instagram post: "Crazy mad insane LOVE for this queen it’s truly like bubbles of giggles are in our bellies when we are together. It’s a shame we don’t get to see each other as much as we would like but when we do i feel like a f—ing KHAL love u @emilia_clarke always forever." And he even ended the post with the Dothraki phrase for "Moon of my life", "Yer Jalan Atthirari Anni." How adorable, right?
Hopefully this will perk up any Game of Thrones fan who has been out of sorts since it was revealed that we have to wait until 2019 to have Jon Snow and the gang back on our screens.
