is now well and truly upon us, which means that the annual tradition of gift-giving is about to get underway.
For some people, this isn't a worry at all, as they've had all their presents wrapped and ready under
for the best part of a month now. However, for others, it's the most stressful time of the year - and that's perfectly understandable. When you've got a dozen different relatives to buy for, plus your closest friends, plus your secret Santa, things can get a little overwhelming.
Unfortunately, this sometimes means that some recipients end up with slightly less-than-desirable gifts. And by this, I don't mean an iTunes gift card (which, on the whole, is a pretty decent score). No, I'm talking about re-gifted, half-used products that most people would consider to be a punishment rather than
. Just take a look at what these poor suckers got, and you'll see what I mean.
1. Not so much 'ho ho ho' as 'oh oh no'
2. At least it's original?
3. This has to be the laziest gift ever
4. Did she at least have a dog?
5. This actually sounds pretty neat to me
6. I'd be flamin' annoyed, too
8. A classic case of re-gifting right here
9. It's the (lack of) thought that counts
10. At least this way you'd end up with something good
So, if you wake up tomorrow morning and find that the big fat man from the North Pole has left you a slightly rubbish prezzie, just think of the folks around the world who are currently unwrapping second-hand socks from their secret Santa. They almost certainly have it worse than you.
