A woman born without arms has showcased her incredible ability to perform everyday tasks using just her feet - including using chopsticks with her toes!

Inga Petry was born in Novosibirsk in Siberia with upper limb aplasia - a condition where a baby's arms do not form in the womb. Other than this, she is a perfectly healthy 20-year-old woman.

After being adopted when she was a young child, Inga now lives in the US, where she studies as a pre-law major, with the hopes of one day becoming an attorney.

And in this fascinating look into her incredible life, Inga has also revealed how she has turned down prosthetics due to the fact that she has learned to become fully dexterous with her feet.

Just take a look at all the incredible things Inga can do with her feet:

Yes, despite her disability, Inga can write, cook, eat, get dressed, and even curl her eyelashes - all despite having no hands.

Speaking about her incredible foot skills, Inga says: "I use my legs to write and type. I use them to eat and I also cook a lot with my feet.

"I have wonderful friends and a wonderful boyfriend who help me when I get in over my head."

And although she was given prosthetics, Inga chooses to live her life without them, saying: "I was thankful for them, but they don’t really work for me. I have gotten along so well without them."

Speaking about her life before moving to the US, Inga revealed that she knows nothing about her biological parents, but is aware that her upbringing would have been more difficult if she had grown up in Russia.

She said: "I have never met my birth parents but I know that because of the culture in Russia, I might have been sent to an asylum and the stigma would have been unbearable.

"It was better for me to be adopted."

Inga was adopted by American couple Daniel and Jennifer Petry when she was two-and-a-half years old.

Daniel, 46, an accountant, and Jennifer, 47, a musician, raised Inga in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and were determined to ensure that her disability would never hold her back in life.

Speaking of her supportive parents, Inga said: "My parents taught me that there were no excuses.

"My mom was a music teacher and she taught me how to play the cello without arms.

"Living without arms is all I've ever known. I do think I had to work a little harder to get where I wanted to be.

"I decided to move to New York City - probably not the easiest city for anyone, let alone someone without arms. I ride the subway and I do fine."

Where her love life is concerned, Inga has been dating boyfriend Joseph, 22, for the past 18 months, with the pair even choosing to spend lockdown quarantined together.

Sadly, one challenge Inga has face is in on social media. Despite being an inspiration to many of her 4,900+ followers on Instagram, Inga did confess that she does sometimes receive unpleasant and overly-sexualized messages from some social media users.

"I get over-sexualized comments and a lot of people asking if I can read," she said. "Some people have said to me that I'm really pretty for someone who doesn't have arms.

"That's supposed to be a compliment, but it doesn't feel like a compliment."

Inga added that she is also interested in modeling and believes that there should be more diversity in the fashion industry, explaining: "I think it would be incredible to see more women with disabilities in the modeling and fashion industry."

Overall, Inga is determined to never let the fact that she doesn't have arms impede on her life. As she puts it: "I could spend the rest of my life crying that I don't have arms but I got over that pretty quickly."
