11 Fabulous photos from this year's World's Ugliest Dog contest
If you're a dog lover, you'll know that pooches are simply the best in any shape or size. Indeed, they can have missing teeth, bug eyes, large heads, droopy tongues or whatever else, and we will still absolutely adore them from head to toe.
This is exactly what the World's Ugliest Dog contest is all about. Each year, the competition lines up the most hideous pups and crowns one winner to bring attention to the needs of rescue dogs. Every dog is beautiful (even if they're ridiculously ugly) and every single dog out there deserves a good home. With this in mind, let's take a look at this year's loveable contestants - don't forget to scroll all the way to the bottom to find out who won!
Rascal Deux, a naturally hairless mix with a crooked face, two different colored eyes and a loose tongue, owns the stage...
... and is given a big hug from his owner after!
Fabio, a 13-year-old a teacup Chihuahua, curls his tongue, delighting crowds at the competition
Puka, who has a cleft lip, looks adorably ugly as he waits to take part in the competition
A dog named Tee Tee struggles to keep his eyes open as he meets his competitors
Molly Horgan looks ecstatic as holds her dog Tostito, who came in third place for the World's Ugliest Dog this year
Put your hands together for Wild Thang, a three-year-old Pekinges who came in as the runner-up this year
And the 2019 winner is... Scamp the Tramp!
The competition to be the World's Ugliest Dog was fierce - but Scamp beat out 18 other contestants to win $1,500 in cash, another $1,500 to donate to an animal shelter and a trophy the size of a Rottweiler
From Tramp to Champ!
Congratulations, Scamp! You are truly the ugliest dog we've ever seen - and we love you for it!
