This Halloween is going to be a rather different affair compared to previous years, but that certainly doesn't mean there's no fun to be had in the lead up to the spooky holiday.
In fact, one Halloween-loving dog owner is having a whale of a time dressing her French Bulldog (named Toad) up as various iconic things.
Yep, 30-year-old Amy Herrington is using each day of October to post a snap of Toad in a new Halloween costume.
"Double, double, toil, & trouble. The countdown to Halloween has officially begun. I’ll be posting a different costume each day during the month of October. Follow along or join the fun by adding the hashtag #toads31daysofhalloween to your own pet’s Halloween-themed photos. I’ll be sharing my favorites in my stories."
So far, Toad's Ancient Roman-inspired toga outfit from October 3 has received one of the best responses out of all the costumes. Currently at 728 "likes", followers of the account are really digging the look.
It was Toad's Red Lobster-inspired costume from October 7, however, that garnered the most comments. At 82 comments and counting, fans sure had a lot to say about the nod to the popular seafood restaurant.
Hilariously, commenters couldn't stop raving about the restaurant's Cheddar Bay Biscuits, which are unlimited for dine-in guests.
One Instagram user with the handle lulu_the_bluepied_frenchie commented: "Now I’m craving for their cheddar biscuits !!!!! [sic]"

Halloween is now officially just around the corner. To be more precise, it's on Thursday.
What does this mean for you? Practically, not a great deal. If you work for a startup, you'll most likely be required to dress in some 'whacky' costume for the day that serves literally no purpose other than making you uncomfortable and too hot. Outside of that, you'll only need to get a costume sorted if you're heading out for a wild night on the tiles, or to a dingy house party in Clapham that's sparsely populated and almost entirely personality free.
This couple made a 13ft bed for themselves and their seven dogs:
Or, of course, if you're a child. Or, more accurately, a parent to a child. If you are a parent, then you've most likely already got your kid's Halloween costume sorted ahead of time, but fear not if you're yet to take the plunge, as there's a great deal of inspiration out there on the internet right now.
Earlier in the year we brought you news of a set of Baby Shark Halloween costumes for the whole family, but if you're quietly hoping to ween your young'un off singing the Baby Shark song for time immemorial, then allow me to introduce you to an altogether unlikely source of inspiration.
So while it would be quite hard to pull off this mop and bucket look with a fellow human, hopefully Keki and owner have inspired you to think outside the box and pull off something truly creative this Halloween. Keki, your legacy as a true Halloween influencer is secure.
Halloween is one of the most exciting holidays, a time of candy, scary movies, decorations, pumpkin carving, and costumes.
We like to think that it's a special occasion where the whole family can get involved. But sadly, that's not true. Yes, the truth of the matter is that Halloween is a time when our pets are sadly neglected and don't really get to take part in all the fun.
[[imagecaption|| Credit: PetSmart]]
This is doubly true if you happen to own something small a furry, like a bunny rabbit, hamster, or a guinea pig. However, if you'd like to get your pet involved this year for real, then we have the answer for you.
PetSmart pet stores are offering sharks, pineapple, mermaid and a host of other Halloween costumes for guinea pigs this year, and from what we can make out from the pictures, they're utterly adorable!
[[imagecaption|| Credit: PetSmart]]
For example, the product description for the shark costume states: "Dress your small pet up as one of the ocean's most feared predators this Halloween with this Thrills & Chills Shark Costume. This fun costume slips on and off easily and features adjustable Velcro straps for optimal comfort, and is a great way for your small pet to join in on all the Halloween fun. Only at PetSmart. [sic]"
[[imagecaption|| Credit: PetSmart]]
However, customers are warned to be extra careful with the costumes and advised that they're not intended to be worn long-term.
The item description continues: "This item is intended to be used for a short duration, under close supervision. Do not use for more than a few hours at a time. Sizing should allow room for 2 fingers to fit between the item and the pet. Do not use as a restraint."

However, this isn't the only Halloween innovation we've seen lately. Check out these incredible children's Halloween costumes specifically tailored to wheelchair users.
It's October. The leaves are turning brown and falling from the trees, the nights are getting longer, and the days are getting shorter; which means that Halloween is on the way.
But with so many people around the world stuck indoors for much longer than usual, thanks to the restrictions imposed on us due to COVID, it's unlikely that as many people will be out partying all night long, or knocking on their neighbor's doors while trick or treating.
[[imagecaption|| Credit: Petsmart]]
Indeed, you may have to restrict your Halloween guests to the people who already occupy your home. If that's the case, then perhaps you want to get your pets in on the fun, by dressing them up in some cool costumes.
So if you're a Guinea pig owner and you're usually frustrated by the lack of options available for your furry friends, then I have good news for you. That's because this year Petsmart is offering a range of adorable, teeny-tiny costumes made just for them.
[[imagecaption|| Credit: Petsmart]]
As you can see in the images above and below, there's a variety of hilariously cute outfits to choose from.
These include (deep breath) two types of mermaids, a unicorn costume, a bumblebee costume, a lobster costume, a pumpkin costume, a hot dog costume, a dragon costume, and even a tiny mariachi band costume, complete with poncho and sombrero.
[[imagecaption|| Credit: Petsmart]]
The adorable so-called "Thrills & Chills" costumes are available exclusively at PetSmart, and you can pick them up instore, or online.
The costumes come at a very reasonable rate of just $6.99 each, so you won't break the bank if you have multiple pets. Or if you just want your Guinea pig to have a bigger wardrobe.
[[imagecaption|| Credit: Petsmart]]
The reviews for the products from buyers have been very positive as well.
For example, a reviewer going by the handle "muffetjane", who hails from Rochester in New York, commented in glowing terms in a review made on the mermaid costume.
[[imagecaption|| Credit: Petsmart]]
They wrote: "This was actually a gift from my mother for my children's guinea pig. They were excited and the pig was less excited, but we got some really cute pictures and memories. Worth the price for all the giggles and fun. [sic]"
So if you're interested in making this year's Halloween something special for your little pet, then why not shoot over to Petsmart now, and buy while stocks still last?
Okay, that's enough! Halloween 2019 has been and gone, and it's time to start wiping off the facepaint and throwing out the pumpkins (also, small animals like hedgehogs, squirrels, and other woodland creatures absolutely love pumpkins, so just pop them at the bottom of your yard). But before you get the tinsel out, there's still time to reminisce about the scariest night of 2019.
Along with Trick or Treating and Halloween parties, another much-anticipated part of this spooky holiday is seeing what our favorite celebrities will dress as. With more money than I'll ever have, you can better believe these megastars have the fund to truly transform themselves into something remarkable. Whether it's sexy or terrifying, here are the greatest celebrity looks from Halloween 2019!
This year, one of the most famous faces on the planet, Kylie Jenner, opted to dress up as Disney's incarnation of Ariel from The Little Mermaid. (The Hans Christian Andersen story which inspired it is a lot darker. Trust me.)
Well, you have to hand it to the makeup mogul, she really suits that clam bra. Although I'm pretty sure that Ariel's tail was nowhere near that revealing, but hey-ho if you're a Jenner, I guess, it's the family duty to look smokin' at all times!
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]Kylie Jenner[/post_page_title]
I take back what I said about the tail. Once you see the outfit in its full glory, it's far from being the mini skirt it appears to be, but a stylish way of showing one leg while keeping a full-length tail that any mermaid would be proud to wear.
Did somebody say bend and snap? Kim K had it covered this Halloween, and it's all the apter as the reality star really is attending law school. That might come in handy if Kanye decides to run for president.
Whoa! Who'd have thought Ellen suited long blond hair? She's rocking that sparkly outfit too. The silver pasties covering her nipples make this outfit in my opinion.

[post_page_title]Bella Hadid[/post_page_title]
Bella Hadid as the greatest Fred Flintstone I've ever seen.
When the Flintstones comes into your mind, it's not immediately followed by the word "sexy", but that might not be the case for those who've seen Bella Hadid's Halloween costume. It's enough to make anyone say yabba dabba doo!

[post_page_title]Kevin Hart[/post_page_title]
Kevin Hart as best buddy The Rock (from the 90s). Y'know, when he still had hair!
He's even got the fanny pack! The only thing that could have made this outfit better would have been the addition of some muscles to make him look just as top-heavy as the Rock.

[post_page_title]Sofia Richie[/post_page_title]
Model and fashion designer Sofia Richie looks amazing as Princess Aurora from Sleeping Beauty.
Disney characters are always a winner when it comes to Halloween outfit choices, and Sofia Richie's sexed-up version of Princess Aurora undoubtedly got a few pulses racing this October 31.

[post_page_title]LeBron James[/post_page_title]
Basketball legend LeBron James gets a slice of the action as Edward Scissorhands.
Let's just hope he wasn't hungry in this outfit because the only thing he'd be able to do is cut ham - and maybe stab a few apples out of the bucket instead of bobbing for them!

[post_page_title]Jordyn Woods and Megan Thee Stallion[/post_page_title]
Jordyn Woods and Megan Thee Stallion as Mortal Kombat characters.
This is definitely one of the most revealing outfits on this list, but hey, they're both young and beautiful, so why not? Let's just hope that they decided to party somewhere warm.
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]Jordyn Woods[/post_page_title]
While Jordyn's outfit doesn't look like much at all in the picture above, in this picture, you can see that there's actually a surprising amount to it.
"This is Halloween, everybody make a scream"... Come on! You know the words. This is the ultimate couple's costume for Tim Burton fans in my opinion, second only to Mrs. Lovett and Sweeney Todd.
Heidi Klum absolutely won the evening with this look seemingly inspired by Frankenstein and the alien movie Species. It took 13 hours for the outfit to come together.
When you're mom's a fashion and popular culture icon, you may want to emulate her from an early age. Stormi looks absolutely adorable here as she rocks her mom's 2019 Met Gala look.
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]Ellis Ross[/post_page_title]
Actress and TV host Tracee Ellis Ross amazed as Red from Us.
Minaj is channeling all of Margot Robbie's sexiness from when she played Harley Quinn, as for Kenneth Petty, well, I reckon he makes a sexier Joker than Jared Leto.
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]Hasley[/post_page_title]
Halsey wowed her followers with her very accurate Marilyn Manson.
There's only word that can adequately describe this picture and that's fire. She's proof that women in their 50s can look just as sexy as those in their 20s. Confidence is key.
I can imagine her saying, "The doctor will see you now" in her most sultry voice. Nurses are definitely up there in the sexy jobs category alongside cops and firemen.
"We all float down here..." Now that's a Pennywise that I'm sure would encourage a lot of people, young and old, to peek into a train - regardless of whether or not they've lost their boat!

[post_page_title]Patrick Schwarzenegger and Abby Champion[/post_page_title]
Ooh, behave! Patrick Schwarzenegger and Abby Champion as Austin Powers and a Fembot.
I think we can all concur with Zackiba's comment that the only thing which would have made this outfit better would have been if he'd pulled up in the almighty shaguar saying, "U look smashing baby."
This brilliant outfit was aptly captioned: "My secret you ask... water, tequila, boundaries and a healthy dose of accountability." Her smile says it all, really.
Isn't she adorable? The fact that her face is almost dwarfed by that yellow bow makes this picture that bit better. I'm sure it's one they'll look back fondly on in years to come.
Oftentimes, we pick a Halloween costume related to a movie or character which means something to us, which was certainly the face for Tallulah. It's definitely not a look that many could pull off, but it's safe to say she nailed it.

[post_page_title]Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake[/post_page_title]
Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake went as 90s Justin Timberlake and a microphone. This hilarious snap was captioned by Jessica Biel, "This is what happens when you admit on TV that you don’t know any NSYNC songs and you’re married to @justintimberlake. Well played, husband, well played."
Do you what's better than doing a Stormi Webster and dressing up as your glamorous mom? Dressing up as your younger self's microphone. Justin's face in this picture is beyond hilarious. Now that's couple costume goals right there.

[post_page_title]Bella Thorne[/post_page_title]
Bella Thorne went sexy with her looks as a cookie delivery girl and this pose says it all really.
Now that's certainly a look that would have raised a few eyebrows if she'd tried to deliver cookies like that. If you didn't know better, you'd think it was from an adult movie, but as we've seen, for some, Halloween really is the perfect opportunity to get sexy.
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]Bella Thorne[/post_page_title]
This wasn't Bella's only look, either. In this one, she looks like she could have easily stepped off an 80s dancefloor. That is what you call hair for days. And days. And days. And you get the point.
And there you have it! Another amazing Halloween with some truly incredible get-ups. I'm not 100% sure all of them were "scary", but I'm sure we can all agree that Heidi Klum won again.
I think we can all agree that we're in need of a laugh during this bleak time we're currently living in. And one creative lady - by the name of Clare Meardon - is doing her best to give us just that.
Meardon has shared a series of clips, taken by her husband Aidan, showing her walking her dog in different eye-popping costumes each day - from burlesque numbers to unicorn outfits.
Check out a compilation of the unique dog-walking trips:
Per Caters, the 40-year-old from Porthleven in Cornwall has an array of striking costumes at home. But how have they come to be in her possession, you ask? Well, Meardon runs a dance school, called Savvy Studios, and the outfits are all performance costumes - made by hers truly.
Meardon decided to start wearing the costumes while walking her labrador Hendrix after she sent a photo of herself wearing one of them to her friends. When a pal bet she wouldn't go out of her house wearing one of her self-made outfits, Meardon proved them wrong.
When she posted the first clip online, she couldn't get enough of people's overjoyed reactions to the outfits. It made her realize that she was doing people a real service by keeping them entertained while they self-isolate and practice social distancing amid the UK's coronavirus lockdown.
The next day, Meardon, confident as ever, stepped out with her pooch dressed as a ballerina - complete with pointed shoes. From then on, there was a new video each day.
Per Caters, the dance school principal is doing this primarily to make people laugh - particularly at a time when fear, loneliness, and anxiety are at their peak.
Aside from her hysterical dog-walking clips, Clare is also offering free classes on her Savvy Studio socials in order to help keep people active during quarantine.
