People are obsessed with this puppy that looks like a cat

One incredibly unique-looking pooch in Hanoi, Vietnam is taking the internet by storm due to his cat-like appearance.

Dúi, who is 100 percent canine (of course), happens to have a very strong feline appearance.

When pictures of the dog appeared on social media, people were fascinated by it and began speculating as to what its breed was.

Some thought it may be a cross between a corgi and a Vietnamese breed called Hmong. While others remarked in jest that he may be a Corgi mixed with a British shorthair cat.

From one unique dog to another - this pup has a very striking beard:

Well, folks, it has been confirmed, per the Metro, that the two-and-a-half-month-old is, in fact, a mix of a dog breed native to Vietnam and a short-legged dog called Dingo.

Metro spoke with the canine's owners, Hai Anh and Tuan. They said: "I think he might have a gene mutation too. I bought him in a mountain province in Vietnam."

They also revealed that in English ''Dúi'' means ''bamboo rat''!

They added: "He is a happy and sweet pup, he loves to play with other dogs, even big dogs and so sweet with humans."

"It’s been only five days since we created Dúi’s fan page and it now has more than 40,000 likes. The dog now has loads of fans both in Vietnam and around the world."

When the photos were posted on Reddit, users of the site were mesmerized.

One Reddit user commented: "At the risk of sounding dramatic, I would murder billions to get the opportunity to play with Dúi for a day."

Another wrote: "Looks very snuggly and the garters on his front legs are just super dapper!"

A third added: "I swear that's like a sock puppet or something"

A different commenter said they "would gladly give him American citizenship and a home in Los Angeles."
