Guy transports entire bee colony on his arm by holding queen bee in his fist

An astonishing video has gone viral on social media this week showing the moment a man transported an entire bee colony on his arm by holding the queen bee in his fist.

According to The Daily Mail, the awe-inspiring footage of the incident was filmed in the Dominican Republic and was first shared on social media by a TikTok user named Danii Rodman.

The Mail reports that in the video in question the beekeeper can be seen tells the cameraman that he was transporting the colony and putting them in a box.

The cameraman can then be heard asking the beekeeper how he has managed to avoid being stung by the bee, to which the beekeeper replies: "They know their owner."

When the cameraman asks if the beekeeper is holding the queen, the man promptly replies: "Yes. I have it in my fist."

The short clip was later uploaded to Reddit under the title "Guy transports a bees colony by carrying the queen is his fist; the rest of the bees crowd around where their queen is [sic]."

The footage quickly managed to accrue over 144,000 upvotes and a further 3,500 comments as of the time of writing, which a number of Redditors expressing their amazement over the man's beekeeping skills.

For instance, one person wrote: "The next time someone asks me what super power I wish for... bee arms. It's gonna be bee arms. Yep. [sic]"

Meanwhile, another Redditor broke down the science behind the seemingly-herculean task, stating:

"Bees 'swarm' when there's a new queen and a chunk of the previous colony breaks off to start a new hive.

"At this point, the bee swarm looks absolutely scary but it's the most docile ever because it's only looking for a new home while protecting the queen.

"Since the queen, in this case, doesn't feel threatened and isn't being harmed, the rest of the swarm just follows along."

Finally, someone else chimed in: "Imagine trying to rob this guy only to discover that he's holding a literal swarm of bees."
