Adele met Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson at the Grammys last night, and it's safe to say that she was left completely starstruck by the encounter.

The 34-year-old singer decided to skip the red carpet last night and head straight for her table with her boyfriend Rich Paul, not knowing what the evening would hold.

South African comedian Trevor Noah hosted proceedings with the usual wit that he has become known for, and during his opening monologue, the 38-year-old turned his attention to Adele.

"The person that Adele has always wanted to meet is Dwayne Johnson… I found out he’s a huge fan of yours, too," he told the British singer.

Noah teased the 'Hello' hitmaker that Johnson wasn't actually in the building, but he did have someone called The Rock, which made Adele grip her boyfriend's shoulder in excitement.

She then turned around to be met with the giant frame of the 50-year-old wrestler-turned-actor and the pair gave each other a big hug.

They exchanged some greetings with each other and kissed each other on both cheeks which left Adele absolutely beaming and starstruck.

The audience absolutely loved the exchange, and Noah exclaimed: "You two get acquainted, we gotta keep the show moving!"

Adele told Nikkie de Jager in 2021, as cited by the Daily Mail, that she "would actually cry" if she ever met Johnson, and she revealed that he once sent flowers to her dressing room and she "literally fell off" her chair.

"He's amazing. He's just incredible. I just want him to be my mate. I want him to be my friend," the singer said in the interview, also stating that his wife Lauren Hashian had attended some of her concerts.

The iconic singer gave an emotional speech when accepting her award, thanking her son and her boyfriend for their support when she was creating her album 30.

The award is highly competitive, with the London-born singer beating Bad Bunny, Doja Cat, Harry Styles, Lizzo, and Steve Lacy to claim the prize.

People flocked to social media to express how sweet they found Adele meeting The Rock to be.
