Amber Heard's sister has testified against Johnny Depp.

Whitney Henriquez told jurors on Wednesday that the actor tried to get her to sign a non-disclosure agreement after he hit his ex-wife.

She gave the court in Fairfax, Virginia, a detailed account of the alleged violent attack - which has become known as 'the staircase incident' - going on to allege that her former brother-in-law struck her and another friend while in a rage in March 2015.

Henriquez began by testifying that her sister woke her up and told her Depp was cheating on her while she was staying at the couple's apartment in the Eastern Columbia Building in downtown Los Angeles.

Per her testimony, Henriquez left Heard and went to speak to Depp about the situation. She found the Pirates of the Caribbean star with his nurse Debbie Lloyd and bodyguard Travis McGivern, adding that he was "clearly drunk".

The star allegedly blamed his then-wife for cheating on her, saying "Amber made me do it". Heard claimed to have found text messages between Depp and a woman named "Rochelle".

At this point in the conversation, Henriquez told the court that her sister appeared and that she and Depp began shouting aggressively at each other. As tensions built, Depp purportedly threw a can and ran toward the women.

"Johnny then hurls a Red Bull can and it hits Debbie in the back," she testified, adding: "I’m standing up there at the top of the stairs with my back to the stairs and that’s when Johnny runs up the stairs. I’m facing Amber. He comes up behind me and he strikes me in the back."

She claims that her sister yelled at Depp: "Don’t hit my f***ing sister", then "smacks him, lands one".

"Johnny had already grabbed Amber by the hair with one hand and was whacking her repeatedly in the face with the other," she continued.

Henriquez explained that Depp was pulled away to another room. The next day, she and her sister found that he had trashed Heard's closet, which had been "completely destroyed".

Following the incident, Henriquez claims she found a non-disclosure agreement left on her counter for her to sign - but that she did not sign it.

During Heard's testimony, she also recounted the staircase incident. She and her ex-husband are embroiled in a $50 million defamation lawsuit, with Depp suing Heard over a 2018 Washington Post op-ed in which she claimed to be a survivor of domestic abuse.

Depp argues that he was the real victim of their tumultuous marriage and that the allegations Heard made in her article ruined his reputation and career. Heard, meanwhile, is countersuing for $100 million and citing multiple occasions when Depp allegedly hit her during their relationship.
