Andy Cohen made some big revelations about the relationship between him and John Mayer recently and fans can't help but speculate about the news online.
Now, Cohen and Mayer have been pretty close over the years, with PEOPLE reporting that Mayer was at Cohen's baby shower, serenaded the talk show host on his 50th birthday, and even spoke at his Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony in February 2022.
During a speech at the prestigious event, Mayer referred to his long-time friend as "a brilliant human being."
"I've walked with him down city streets and been on FaceTime with him as he goes about his day, and each and every time he's recognized, he's said 'hello' to just like a friend. 'What's up Andy?' 'Hey Andy!' 'Loved what you said about de Blasio!' He's also my friend, my dear friend," Mayer said at the time. "And there are times in life when you just need a friend you can count on."

The musician continued: "He's a Madonna stan and a Deadhead. He's an A-lister, who parties like a B-lister, with the free spirit of a C-lister," Mayer continued. "I love Andy more than I can tell you. He's a brilliant human being, a hilarious cohort, a loving son and brother — and more recently he's become a proud, engaged and deeply devoted father."
But are these besties just friends or is there something more?
While appearing on SiriusXM's The Howard Stern Show on Wednesday, the 55-year-old was questioned about his relationship with the 'Last Train Home' singer.
Check out what Cohen said to Stern about his relationship with Mayer:When asked if he was in love with Mayer, Cohen responded "yes" but swore on his children Benjamin Allen, four, and Lucy Eve, one, that despite swirling rumors, he and Mayer had never been intimate with one another.

The topic came up as Stern picked up on the fact that Mayer has been mentioned a handful of times throughout his new book, The Daddy Diaries: The Year I Grew Up, which prompted him to say: "Swear on your children’s lives that there has never been anything sexual between you and John Mayer."
The Watch What Happens star confirmed that nothing of that nature had ever happened between the two.
But fans couldn't help but speculate further on Twitter.
"Andy Cohen serving bottom energy as he strolls with John Mayer HOLDING HANDS at pride festival after announcing to the world that they're 'in love,'" wrote one user alongside a snapshot of the pair walking down the street wearing pride shirts with their fingers intertwined.
"I don’t support the nasty John Mayer but I support gay love and will put aside my morals for a few minutes for him and Andy Cohen," another added also including the same picture.
"Um if this is true all I can say is... just kiss already," a third urged.
This isn't the first - and probably won't be the last - time that Cohen has had to deny rumors surrounding his close-knit relationship with Mayer.
Back in 2018, the 55-year-old told CNN that he's nor surprised at other people's reactions given how much time they spend together.
"Listen, we have a very sweet friendship, and we are together all the time," he said. "I think that I was not surprised because we also have a great love for each other. So, it just seems like the obvious assumption."

In December last year, during an interview with Bruce Bozzi on his iHeart’s podcast, Cohen also added that Mayer was "very in touch with his emotions," also adding that the 45-year-old expressed himself pretty early on in their friendship.
"He is someone to say, 'I love you and I cherish you and I cherish our friendship' — just this stuff that straight guys aren’t necessarily supposed to say," Cohen said.
You know what? In this house, we stan healthy friendships.
Maybe we can all learn a thing or two and apply them to our own.
