Pink Floyd has recently updated their logo to celebrate their 50th anniversary, but some "anti-woke" fans have taken issue with the design that has been used before.

The English rock band was formed in London in 1965 and their roaring success ever since has seen them inducted into the Rock and Roll hall of fame.

Their most iconic album The Dark Side Of The Moon was released in 1973, and the artwork that went with it has become a common print on clothing items.

The band's new logo includes the iconic rainbow colors of the album, but some "fans" have outed themselves as not knowing the band's work at all.

Shortly after the band updated their profile picture on Facebook to the new logo, they were met with a slew of angry comments from those who seem to have a vendetta against rainbows.

"GO WOKE GO BROKE, SELLOUTS," one person wrote, with another adding: "Are you going woke with rainbows, is there a straight flag, I want equal representation, don’t get me wrong, we should all be true to who we are. Peace."

"From this moment, I don’t listen to this band," a third person declared, with a fourth writing (rather ironically): "Lose the rainbow; you’re making yourself look stupid."

Even if the logo was a show of support for the LGBTQ+ community, getting angry at rainbows on Facebook seems like a weird way to spend one's spare time - but as the saying goes, hatred blinds you.

True fans of the band were on hand to fill the comments with jokes about the "anti-woke" people that had hijacked the post, and now it's almost impossible to find a hateful comment among the hilarious responses.

"Imagine claiming to be a Pink Floyd fan for longer than I’ve been alive, and still knowing nothing about them," one person said.

A second added: "People crying about the rainbow is absolutely hysterical [...] My favorite thing of 2023 so far, and a third declared a proper reason to dislike the logo: "I don't like this new logo. The 50 makes me feel old."

It's great that sense won in the end because getting unnecessarily angry at bright colors must be an exhausting way to live.
