It's the relationship literally nobody saw coming, but Avril Lavigne and Tyga have confirmed they're an item after the pair were spotted kissing.
Rumors began circulating that Avril, 38, and Tyga, 33, were dating in recent weeks, following her shock split from her fiancé Mod Sun, 35.
The pair were photographed at the Mugler x Hunter Schafer party during Paris Fashion Week on Monday, where they walked together holding hands.
At one point in the evening, the pair were seen sharing a steamy embrace and were photographed kissing among the crowd.
Earlier in the night, the couple was seen sitting in the front row of the Ottolinger show, where they whispered in each other's ears, and just last week were seen attending a party hosted by Leonardo DiCaprio as well as other outings together.
The 'Sk8er Boi' star is reportedly keeping it casual with the 'Rack City' rapper, with a source telling People: "Tyga and Avril are getting to know each other. It's very new. It's very casual."
The surprising romance comes after Avril split from Mod - real name Derek Smith - last month, just under a year after they got engaged in Paris.
Mod had shared photos and videos of the stunning proposal at the time, with him and Avril being seen in front of the Eiffel Tower as well as enjoying a boat ride on the river Seine.
He wrote: "The day we met I knew you were the one. Together forever til our days are done. I had a dream where I proposed in Paris. I pulled out a ring + asked you to wear it. I was on one knee as I looked in your eyes. You’re too beautiful for my words to describe.
"I grabbed your hand + took one last breath… I said 'will you marry me?' + she said 'yes'", adding: "I love you Avril."
The pair had met while working on Avril's album Love Sux, with the pop-punk singer also featuring on Mod's single 'Flames'.
Before their relationship was publicly confirmed, Mod was also seen with a large tattoo of Avril's name on the back of his neck.
Avril and Mod had been dating since 2021, getting engaged in April 2021, but rumors of a split began in January 2023.
At the time, Mod's representative responded, via Page Six: "They were together and engaged as of three days ago when he left for tour, so if anything has changed, that’s news to him."
However, the split was officially confirmed at the end of February, as Mod told his followers: "In 1 week my entire life completely changed… I just know there's a plan for it all… I'll keep my head up + always listen to my heart, even when it feels broken. Being surrounded by love every night on tour has been an absolute blessing. I have the best friends in the entire world, thanks for always having my back. See you on stage."
Mod and Avril had reportedly been on and off for several months before their split, according to TMZ, with Avril being spotted hugging Tyga after the pair officially broke up.
