The 'Baby One More Time' singer made the revelation in a video that's now been viewed over three million times, saying that she hadn't been inside her home gym for half a year because she accidentally burnt it down.

In the workout video, the mom-of-two said: "Hi guys, I'm in my gym right now.

"I haven't been in here for like six months because I burned my gym down, unfortunately. I had two candles and, yeah, one thing led to another and I burned it down."

Captioning her video, Britney said: "It was an accident …. but yes …. I burnt it down. I walked past the door to the gym and flames. BOOM!!!!!! By the Grace of God the alarm went off after that and yippy hoorah nobody got hurt."

She signed off her caption by saying: "Pssss I like working out better outside anyways."

Prior to this incident, the singer had become known on the internet for sharing how she maintains her toned abs with fans.

Yesterday, Britney also revealed that she'd been losing weight during lockdown because she is missing her boyfriend, Sam Asghari.

"I have been quarantining since I got back from Louisiana weeks ago .... so basically I haven't seen my boyfriend @samasghari in what feels like a lifetime!!!!" she said.

"I have actually lost weight from missing him... now none of my pants or shorts fit!!!!! Guess that's what missing someone can do.... who else is experiencing this????!"

This comes after the Toxic singer, 38, jokingly claimed to have set a new world record by running 100m in 5.97 seconds, and warmed hearts around the world by helping out fans who were financially struggling because of the coronavirus pandemic, per CNN.
