Britney Spears has blasted her dad on social media, after being released from what she called a "slave treatment program" one year ago.
In her latest Instagram post Britney - who was released from her 13-year legal conservatorship in November 2021 - took the opportunity to send a message to her father, Jamie Spears, as she gears up to celebrate her one-year freedom anniversary.
The post - depicting an old image of Britney from the early 2000s - contained a lengthy caption detailing the new experiences she's been able to have since having her conservatorship terminated.
"Brit Brit's got some good special news [...] this year I've been able to get cash for the first time with my ATM card !!! Damn I must say … not being a part of your slave treatment program has changed my life [...] !!! Guess what ??? I can go to spas now too," the caption began.
Britney continued, detailing how her father - who was his daughter's legal conservator - wouldn't allow her to go to spas during her conservatorship: "Remember when my 3 best friends came to visit me from home … well they all got BUSTED !!! They said they flew in the day of the show but Bryan slipped and said he had gotten them into three clubs that week.
"It was the white lie SECRET of awkward SILENCE … before I performed that night I saw all 3 of my friends at the spa in those high cool chairs you put your feet in !!!"
"But MORE GOOD NEWS … I know I couldn't go to spas because you were scared I would drink coffee [...] !!! I'm an equal person now !!! I can drink coffee … and I’m so HAPPY !!! Anyways I just wanted to give you a beautiful SPECIAL HAPPY f**k you [...] !!!" Britney concluded.
According to court documents filed after the end of Britney's conservatorship, 70-year-old Jamie reportedly earned $6,314,307.99 in his role as his daughter's conservator, per CNBC. Reports add that Jamie allegedly used some of those earnings to pitch his own TV show.
"After extracting those funds, he used them for his own purposes and aggrandizement, including among other things, to try to recreate his career as a cook by pitching a television show called 'Cookin' Cruzin' and Chaos with James Spears,'" the documents stated.
Jamie has maintained that Britney's legal conservatorship: "Helped [Britney] get through a major life crisis, rehabilitate and advance her career, and put her finances and her affairs in order," in further court documents.
Judging by Britney's social media, however, she's happy to finally taste freedom.
