Adam Sandler has reacted to a video showing him being turned away from an IHOP restaurant.

In a post addressed to his 2.8 million followers on Twitter, the 54-year-old Uncut Gems star addressed the viral TikTok video, which showed him and his daughter leaving the eatery after being told by a server that there would be a 30-minute-long wait for service.

Making light of the situation, as well as his own personal eating habits, a sardonic Sandler wrote:

"For the record, I only left the IHOP because the nice woman told me the all-you-can-eat deal didn’t apply to the milkshakes."

The actor and comedian's statement on the issue quickly picked up a lot of attention on the platform, and a number of his fans and followers have since reacted to the tweet.

For example, one commenter praised Sandler's down-to-Earth attitude by writing: "Even if she had recognized you, good for her for not letting you ahead of anyone else in line.

"And good for you for not using your name to get ahead of anyone in line. We all put our pants on one leg at a time."

Meanwhile, someone else wrote: "Hahahaahaha I LOVE that you addressed this. I was listening to some radio Dj’s debate whether or not they would’ve seated you because you’re Adam Sandler. It was hilarious actually. [sic]"

Another person agreed, writing: "Bro that just shows your the coolest, because instead of throwing a fit and being like hey it’s me “The Sandman”, you restrained from using your fame. [sic]"

Finally, another commenter wrote: "I love the fact you did not have to use your "celebrity let me cut in line" #Respect [sic]"

The original surveillance footage of the incident was first shared on TikTok on April 25 by 17-year-old IHOP waitress Dayanna Rodas, who admitted in her post that she had not recognized the star when he visited the Lond Island restaurant.

Take a look at the original TikTok video right here:

Sharing a video of herself with a clown face filter, Rodas mocked her own ignorance of her customer's celebrity status with a video entitled: "Pleaseee come back."

Rodas' post has now accrued over 11 million views, 2.3 million reactions, and a further 19,000 comments as of the time of writing.
