While the majority of us are by no means celebrities, we all suffer a bit of social jealousy every now and then. Whether it's being jealous of your friend who seems to exude confidence and charm, or your co-worker who seems to be able to squeeze absolutely everything out of their job, it's easy to be jealous of other people.

However, if you were Angelina Jolie, I imagine you're not really jealous of anyone, right? Well, it turns out that she is.

As we are all aware by now, Jolie and Brad Pitt are going through a pretty messy divorce at the moment. And, while she continues to do fantastic humanitarian work and speak at the UN, the majority of stories now focus on her break-up with Pitt.

Because of this change in coverage, it's being reported that Angelina Jolie has become “insanely jealous” of Amal Clooney. Amal is the wife of George Clooney, and Angelina Jolie believes that the former-barrister "has stolen her identity" as the world’s most prominent, glamorous humanitarian.

According to a source that spoke to Page Six: “Angelina hates all the attention that Amal is getting — she’s beautiful, she’s smart, she’s stylish, she has a beautiful family and she’s doing important human rights work.”

Amal is known for her humanitarian work since she became involved with George Clooney and became the president of the Clooney Foundation for Justice, a foundation that she co-founded with her husband in late 2016. The foundation aims to advance justice in courtrooms, communities, and classrooms around the world, with Amal taking a very active role in the foundation.

She also partnered with the Aurora Humanitarian Initiative in beginning the Amal Clooney Scholarship, which she created in order to send one female student from Lebanon to the United World College Dilijan each year.

Then, in 2018, following the tragic events that took place in the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting, the couple pledged $500,000 to the March for Our Lives and said they would be in attendance.

However, while Jolie may be envious of the relationship between Amal and the press, she also has a problem with Amal's relationship with Brad Pitt.

According to the source, Jolie is fuming that her former close friends George and Amal Clooney have taken the side of her soon-to-be ex-husband Brad Pitt’s in their increasingly messy split. Also, the source claims that the fallout from their divorce battle is making Jolie appear “crazy and manipulative.”

The source adds, “Angelina lives in such a bubble, she believes that Amal is doing a ‘single white female’ on her, and Angie can’t understand why she herself has become so unpopular in Hollywood. But the truth is, Amal isn’t concerned at all about Angelina — she is fully focused on her family and her work.”

So, it appears that, despite the fact that she is one of the most recognised and celebrated actresses in the world, Angelina Jolie, like the rest of us, suffers from social jealousy from time-to-time. Celebrities, hey? They're just like us.
