On Thursday, the 49-year-old stopped to greet a fan suffering from a rare bone disease while posing for pictures at the Venice Film Festival earlier this week.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Italian writer Pasqualino Esposito has become somewhat of a regular at the prestigious event.

He suffers from osteogenesis imperfecta or "brittle bone disease," a genetic disorder that causes bones to break easily as well as other severe deformities like muscle weakness, chest and spine abnormalities, skin that bruises easily, and hearing loss.

Due to his condition, he is bedridden and relies on others to help him get out.

And while Jolie was performing her red carpet duties, she stopped to spend time with Esposito and have a conversation with him.

Photos and videos from the event show Jolie kneeling by the writer's side, while she smiles at him - engaged in what he is saying. After their conversation, she returned to her position on the carpet for more shots.

The star also turns back to look at Esposito as he is being wheeled away.

A clip of the interaction was reposted by the popular news account Pop Base where it received hundreds of comments praising Jolie for her kindness.

"This is so beautiful omg Angelina Jolie is truly an angel from heaven," wrote one user while another added: "The evolution of Angelina Jolie has been beautiful to witness."

A third also chimed in writing: "No wonder she’s the best [woman] in Hollywood."

Cameras also caught up with Esposito and his father after his encounter with the actress where the Italian writer said: "She’s a person with a very big heart. She’s fantastic."

After her interaction, Jolie went to spend time with other fans near the barricade who came to watch the star before the premiere of her latest project, Maria.

Directed by Pablo Larraín, Maria follows the story of Maria Callas, an American-born Greek soprano hailed as one of the most renowned and influential opera singers of the 20th century.

The 49-year-old appeared emotional as the crowd applauded the world premiere of the biopic, giving the star an impressive eight-minute standing ovation at the Palazzo del Cinema in Lido di Venezia.

It comes shortly after Netflix quickly acquired the distribution rights to Maria prior to its premiere at the prestigious festival.

Speaking of the announcement earlier this week, Larraín said: “I’m excited to partner again with the Netflix team who care so passionately about movies. This film is my most personal work yet. It is a creative imagining and psychological portrait of Maria Callas who, after dedicating her life to performing for audiences around the world, decides finally to find her own voice, her own identity, and sing for herself.

"I’m deeply honored to tell this story and share it with audiences worldwide like Maria did with her life," he added in the statement.
