It was only a matter of months ago that we learnt 24-year-old singer Ariana Grande was dating Saturday Night Live actor Pete Davidson - but it seems that the pair have wasted no time in moving their relationship to the next level. According to People, the couple have apparently confirmed their engagement already, even though they only got together in May.

"It’s a recent engagement," a source close to the couple has supposedly said. "They’re just two people who found love quickly and make each other happy all the time. They both started talking about it this past weekend. It’s nothing they’ve been hiding."

And if their social media interactions are anything to go by, it's clear that they're both feeling extra loved up at the moment.

Plus, Grande herself seemed to imply that she was serious with her new beau, as she replied to one fan to say that Davidson knew that he'd be marrying her (very enthusiastic) fanbase by tying the knot with her:

However, fans are divided on the news - especially as Grande only split from Mac Miller after an 18-month relationship a matter of weeks ago.

Miller and Grande seemed inseparable throughout their relationship, too, and Miller once said of his former girlfriend on the Ellen Show: "We hung out for a long time and everything just happened organically. We love making music together - we do that always. But she’s my best friend in the world."

What's more, just two months ago, they were seen cosying up to one another at Coachella:

Davidson has also recently gotten out of a serious relationship. He'd been dating singer Cazzie David until May - but she doesn't seem all that torn up by the news. In a recent Instagram post, she shared a picture of herself on safari with the caption, "Been in Africa, what'd I miss?"

So, is this the most serious rebound of all time for Grande and Davidson, or is it the real deal?

Many people have weighed in on the matter to comment on how Miller must be feeling, with one fan tweeting: "ariana grande was with mac miller for like 2 years, one month after they break up she's already engaged...... I'm sick for mac miller."

Others, meanwhile, were not quite convinced that the No Tears Left To Cry singer was making the right decision, with another follower writing: "i love ariana and pete together but......... engaged ??????? girl you’ve only been with him for like 3 weeks".

On the other hand, there were those who supported the couple, saying that when you know, you just know (you know?).

"I have fully stanned Ariana since Yours Truly so I have literally watched her grow as an artist, and as a person," tweeted one dedicated follower. "I’m feeling so emotional THAT’S MY BABY GETTING ENGAGED AND LIVING HER BEST LIFE."

"we literally watched ariana grow up, going through all these boys who let her down, until she found her IDENTICAL match and is now engaged," said another. "i couldn’t be happier for her. she really grew up right infront of our eyes."

Though the couple themselves have not explicitly confirmed their engagement, there have been some pictures of a supposed ring.

Let's hope the pair give some official confirmation over the next few days, because we can't wait to see the wedding!
