Since becoming a new mother last month, Ashley Graham has had no qualms about sharing the most unglamorous aspects of motherhood.
In fact, yesterday the 32-year-old took to Instagram to post a photo of her changing her newborn son Isaac Menelik Giovanni‘s diaper while shopping at a Staples store.
“Sh*t just got real!” she captioned the picture, before adding: “First diaper blow up while running errands with no restroom in sight! Thank God I remembered to put the changing mat in the diaper bag!!!”
Graham also censored her son’s face and bottom with brown heart emojis.
Many of the body confident model's fans took to the comments to praise the mom for showing them the "ugly" yet very necessary side of being a parent.
The model discusses her home water birth on her podcast Pretty Big Deal:One wrote: "Omg... I’m dying at how great of a mother you are."
Another added: "I love that we normalize this. If anybody ever tried to come at me for doing this, I’m throwing the diaper at them. idgaf."
One user gushed: "Mom goals for real. X."
However, not everyone was so supportive of Ashley's decision to change her baby's diaper out in the open.
One asked: "Why didn’t you just take him back to the car for privacy?"
Another commented: "Lol super force. I’m sure the car would have been easier and more sanitary. People walk with their dirty shoes everywhere"
A different user wrote: "Nothing like changing your baby on a public floor with Carona making its way all over. A simple walk to my private luxury vehicle would have been my first option."
