The new generation of celebs is something like we've never seen before. Sure, it's amazing that the old timers like George Clooney and Madonna (sorry guys) donate hefty sums to good causes or open hospitals for children, but the new generation of celebrities are setting some good examples to their fans too.

Take Lili Reinhart, who's not afraid to show off her cystic acne. Or Kylie Jenner, who – as controversial as she is – is a seriously inspiring businesswoman. Then there's Selena Gomez, who took part in the March For Our Lives movement along with many other young celebrities.

Another A+ A-lister is Bella Thorne. The former Disney star recently took to Twitter to post a rather risque photo of herself in the name of feminism.

The 20-year-old actor and musician doesn't hold back when it comes to her social media posts, whether it's speaking her mind about issues important to her or lashing out at haters. But now, the Famous in Love star has launched a pre-emptive strike against sexism.

Posting a topless photo, it seems Bella wanted to make a point about the perplexing bias there is surrounding... nipples. For whatever reason, society has deemed the female nipple as a taboo thing that women must hide from the world. Men, on the other hand, can freely wander around with their tops off, flashing their nipples for all to see.

Movements like Free the Nipple have blossomed as a result, which aims to remove the illegality of women exposing their bare breasts and censoring nipples on platforms like Instagram. Speaking of which, one particularly clever Instagram account called @genderless_nipples posts close-up images of nipples in order to challenge Instagram's standards. The account tricks the system by posting images of nipples that could be male or female, which highlights the sexist guidelines, as well as how ludicrous the whole thing is.

But I digress. Bella Thorne took part in the debate not by providing a long-winded rant, but rather by posting a decidedly NSFW pic with a to-the-point caption.

"I could write a whole post talking about feminism and why I should be allowed to post this pic. But f*ck it here’s my side boob," she wrote.

The post got more than 28k likes, as well as a throng of supportive comments.

It's not the first time Bella has spoken about feminism. Last year, she penned a powerful essay for Refinery29 where she expressed how "upset" she was "with how women are being raised in our society today".

"Right now, women are being taught to view themselves based on their physical appearance," she wrote. "It's 2017, and we are still allowing our looks to dictate who we should be or how worthy we are. How crazy is that?"

She made headlines again when requesting a change to the script in an episode of Famous In Love, where she wanted her character to be more compassionate to a friend who worked as a topless maid.

"Originally that scene was written a very different way. She was just really judgmental about the topless maid [situation]," she told Complex. “I was like, 'I don’t want to do the scene, I don’t want to say these lines. This doesn’t sound feminist at all.'”

You go girl.
