Bella Thorne has once again found herself in hot water as a result of her OnlyFans account after making a "tone-deaf" post about it on Instagram stories.

This comes after Thorne created an OnlyFans account back in August, breaking the platform's record for the most earned in a single day, making $1 million and going on to make $2 million in her first week.

In the wake of her success the platform decided to change some of its policies, as per Insider, including limiting tips, setting price caps, and further space withdrawals for creators - all of which prompted sex workers who rely on the platform to make a living to speak out about the former Disney star's actions.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Rachel, an Australian sex worker and OnlyFans content creator, said: "To witness a celebrity gentrifying a platform and making obscene amounts of money without acknowledging the plight of sex workers is truly a slap in the face."

But despite the initial backlash, Thorne once again dove into hot water when she took to social media to portray herself as a trendsetter and martyr for being one of the "first" big-name celebrities to join the platform.

Responding to Thorne's Instagram stories, one Twitter user wrote: "If #BellaThorne said she was the first to join and scam, then cause the platform to install new rules and regulations that affected workers on there, then I'd totally agree with her."

"Everyone jumping on OnlyFans but I took the hit for doing it first," Thorne wrote on Instagram stories. "Cool."

"Legit everyone in my news feed following in my footsteps," she added with an exaggerated eye roll. "But when I was getting heat y’all were scared."

Needless to say, the Twitter user above was not the only person to respond badly to Thorne's claims.

"Bella Thorne is one of the top 10 villains of 2020," one viral tweet said.

A second added: "She's just blatantly gonna ignore that she scammed people and made it harder for people who depend on it."

Meanwhile, a third simply wrote: "I cannot stand this woman."

A fourth remarked: "Bella Thorne and her I did it first BS. She's completely tone deaf [sic] about what she's saying and doing."

Thorne's claims didn't just offend a lot of people, they are also incorrect, and as per Yahoo News, other celebrities who had previously signed up to OnlyFans before she did included Blac Chyna, Cardi B, and Thorne's former BFF Tana Mongeau.
