One of the most successful celebrity pairings out there has got to be Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively. Their couple goals are so strong that many people have claimed that their marriage was the best thing to come out of the 2011 Green Lantern movie.

However, just because the two are head-over-heels in love with one another doesn't mean that, like all the best couples, they aren't capable of trolling the hell out of each other from time to time. The best part of it is that, thanks to their social media presence, their many fans are privy to their playful banter, and it often manages to be pretty damn entertaining. Somebody pass the popcorn!

Take this latest example, and the hilarious clapback that followed. Recently, Ryan Reynolds shared a video on his Twitter account, which showed the Deadpool star being interviewed by his 'twin brother' Gordon. In it, Gordon roasted his bro about his career, children and gin company. The video was captioned: "Tomorrow is #WorldGinDay. My brother is an *ss. Which is why you can’t have one without the other."

Then, just to rub further salt in the wound, Blake commented on the video, stating: "Sh*t. Your brother is hot. I've made a terrible mistake..." implying that Ryan's identical twin was the much hotter sibling. Man, she doesn't hold back does she? That was when Ryan replied: "You haven't made a mistake. You've been living with him for over a year."

Yeah, I wouldn't expect anything less from everyone's favourite lunatic mercenary.

By the way, in case any of you are confused by the interview, let me just explain now that 'Gordon Reynolds' doesn't actually exist. Ryan doesn't actually have an identical twin; the video just exploits clever editing techniques to duplicate him. Ryan was actually interviewing himself the whole time. How meta has this whole exchange just become? Is your mind blown yet?

As if the whole situation wasn't confusing enough, Lively also appeared to have trouble distinguishing her spouse from his superhero persona. Recently, Livey captioned a picture of Ryan at the Deadpool 2 premiere: "Can you tell I'm proud of my Deadpool? I mean my husband. I mean Deadpool. Honestly I can't tell the f*cking difference..." Neither can we Blake, neither can we.

To be fair, Ryan has every right to be feeling pretty pleased with himself right now. The sequel to the X-Men spin off, starring his eponymous wise-cracking red anti-hero, was released in theatres this summer to critical acclaim, with many saying that Deadpool 2 is even better than the first.

In particular, critics applauded the chemistry between Reynolds and Josh Brolin, who plays the time-travelling cyborg mutant Cable. The film even managed to live up to the hype after Hugh Jackman's Wolverine swan-song Logan was hailed by many as the best X-Men movie ever, as a result the threequel has already been green lit. Personally, I can't wait.
