Bow Wow got into hot water yesterday after tweeting an image of Wendy Williams with the snidest of snide captions. Basically, he resorted to body-shaming the 55-year-old TV host - and her fans didn't take too kindly to such treatment.

The post was likely a response to what Wendy had said about the 32-year-old rapper's relationship with Ciara - whom he dated from 2004 to 2006.

During her notorious 'Hot Topics' segment, the sharp-tongued talk show host informed her audience of a media report which alleged that during a performance, Bow Wow blurted out the words: "I had this b*tch first."

The woman in question being his ex-girlfriend Ciara.

"Bow Wow, I'm not hating on you, but young man, so what?" Wendy said in response to the harsh remarks.

"It's very distasteful," she went on to say. "We've all had somebody before we had you, man. We've all lived, but to be shirtless in a club and calling her a ‘b*tch,' you were so wrong for that."

Also, as part of the segment, a photo of Bow Wow and Ciara appeared on the screen from back when they were dating.

Wendy drew attention to the height difference between the Let's Get Down rapper and his much taller then-girlfriend. And to add insult to injury, she made sure to mention that Bow Wow was even standing on his tiptoes in the photo.

So Bow Wow decided to retaliate on Twitter:

But it wasn't long before Twitter users began to criticise the rapper for appearing to body shame Williams.

"If his 1/10 self doesn't stop...Wendy is living unapologetically and doing HER. She's freshly out of turmoil and you can tell that it's been rough on her. But she's HERE! He should do the same," one person tweeted.

"When it's short boy summer we'll ask for your opinion," wrote another.

Some even went as far as to say that being a father to his eight-year-old daughter, Bow Wow should know better than to tear someone apart for their physical appearance.

"You literally have a daughter...body shaming aint the move," one person wrote.
