The MTV VMAs were on last night, but even though Rihanna was nominated for two awards (one of which she won), she was noticeably absent. The Lemon singer became a victim of a new meme that made the rounds at the event, seen here:
[[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/amariofficial_/status/1031837740927778816]]
But it seems she had a good reason not to have attended the event: the singer and businesswoman was back in her home country of Barbados for a friend's wedding. Rihanna was one of the bridesmaids for her friend, Sonita Alexander, and in true Rihanna fashion, she managed to make everyone laugh due to her aversion to the bouquet at the reception.

Wearing a sleek navy blue gown designed for all the bridesmaids, Rihanna kept it lowkey when it came to her hair and makeup but still looked as glam as ever. The ceremony looked equally gorgeous, taking place in the lush outdoors of the Caribbean island. Things moved inside for the reception, but when it came for the wedding bouquet toss, Rihanna was sure to dodge it as much as she could.
Luckily, the hilarious moment was captured on camera, and a video shows the 30-year-old expertly ducking from the flight path of the airborne flowers to ensure they didn't land in her vicinity. You can watch her here, noting how she swerves right after the bouquet is thrown as she B-lines for the other direction:

Rihanna is rumoured to have split with her billionaire boyfriend last month, though their relationship status was never officially confirmed. She'd been seen hanging out in very suspiciously date-like situations with Saudi businessman, Hassan Jameel.
MediaTakeOut News reported that Rihanna broke the relationship off because she "gets tired of men sometimes." Who knows if it's really true but same, Rihanna, same. The site's "source" claimed that "Rihanna and him were together for a while."
[[instagramwidget||https://www.instagram.com/p/BmpKpE4imQU/?taken-by=rihannasglow]]
"It was a good relationship, but now it's over," they reported. "Of course Rihanna broke his heart. That's what she does: break[s] men's hearts. Rihanna just got tired of him. She gets tired of men sometimes."
Well, judging by her determination not to catch the bouquet, it seems like she's really not putting her love-life as a priority right now. And if you need any more convincing, let's revisit this classic interview where she tells a nosy interviewer she's "not looking for a man, let's start there".
[[youtubewidget||https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TEdNKKIu1Q4]]
Rihanna clearly isn't of the persuasion that having a man in her life will make her feel "complete", and why should it? She's still releasing bangers that always shoot to the top of the charts, and her latest business ventures with Fenty makeup and her lingerie line Savage are doing stupidly well. Rihanna's certainly doing something right, and it's obviously not because she's been chasing bouquets.
The Ocean's Eight star recently uploaded a video showing her walking around a square in Cuba's capital of Havana in a flowy dress and a straw hat.

It really seems she's living her best life, right?

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth first met all the way back in 2010, and since then they've been close - though their romance had had its ups and downs, for sure. However, the pair finally got back together in 2016, and made their engagement public knowledge the following year.
"At the time we were going in different directions and it’s just what needed to happen," Liam explained to GQ, addressing the 2013 split. "We were both super young and it was a good decision at the time - we both needed that.”
While fans of them both were looking forward to the big day, Liam and Miley chose to have a quiet ceremony, keeping it small and private, with only their closest friends and family members invited to the occasion. But the privacy of the wedding didn't stop them both from sharing a few photos of the affair in late December.
[[instagramwidget||https://www.instagram.com/p/Br3Ul76hG3s/]]
[[instagramwidget||https://www.instagram.com/p/Br3VI2CBJkJ/]]
Then, just last week, Miley shared even more photos of the big day, in a series of tweets in celebration of Valentine's Day.

But that doesn't mean she's done with it yet, as she's now sharing even more from the wedding. This time, however, they're not the sweet ones of her with her dad, Billy Ray, or a loving embrace with her new husband; they're a little more ridiculous...
[[instagramwidget||https://www.instagram.com/p/Bt7QE23hBrT/]]
Aside from the classier photos released before, this time she's letting loose with her bouquet.

Yep, this is classic Miley!
[[instagramwidget||https://www.instagram.com/p/Bt7QFoNhp_F/]]
While Miley is posting these ridiculous photos from the wedding, her new hubby has been opening up about what exactly it's like to be married, and even touched up on how they first met.
The couple first met during the making of The Last Song, where they starred opposite one another almost a decade ago. In an interview earlier this week, the Australian actor spoke about how he almost didn't get the role, bug snagged it last minute.
“That was the first job I got [in the U.S.], and it was literally right at the end of my three-month visa. Originally they cast another kid, and it didn’t work out with him... My agent calls me whispering, like ‘You’ve got to go to Disney right now. It’s not working out with the other guy. You’ve got to go in and read with Miley again."
The audition went well and he hit it off with Miley, and here we are!
[[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/TODAYshow/status/1096405696403464193]]
"It's sort of weird how it all comes together and 10 years later I'm here, married," he added. "I feel really happy and really fortunate to be with such a great person. We've been through so much together over the last ten years, so it felt like it was time."
It looks like it all worked out, and seeing as the pair have known each other for nearly a decade, he probably wasn't too shocked by those bouquet pics.

There's a reason that wedding photographers are so expensive. First, there's a lot of planning that goes into selecting the dream venue, the perfect flowers and the dress for the occasion, and getting crappy photos of it all would just not do it justice. Secondly, many people claim it's the most important day of their life, and capturing that on camera is one way to immortalise that milestone forever.
But even if you have the best photographer and the perfect weather, there's always the possibility that your wedding photos will be met with some kind of unplanned-for event. Like this story, which saw a bridesmaid accidentally disrupt the couple's photos with hilarious results.
Last month, a dude called Kevin Ryan celebrated his three-year wedding anniversary. He decided to share the happy news on Twitter, posting a photo from the Chicago ceremony with the caption: "Three years ago, I married the love of my life and my sister fell over". Not the usual anniversary memo, is it?
Well, as you might imagine, the photo he posted documents the moment his sister, one of the bridesmaids, "fell over". It might actually be the funniest wedding photo that the world has ever seen, because right when the newlyweds shared their first kiss as a married couple, his sister did indeed fall over. Right in the shot. With timing that was nothing but perfect.
Take a look for yourself:
[[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/K_47/status/1022113758083260422]]
Yep, there on the bottom left of the frame is Kevin's sister, who apparently fainted (I'm hoping out of elation for the happy occasion). Face-first, shoes almost off, and no-one in the shot really grasping what had just happened quite yet. Here's a close up:
Oh dear. So what exactly happened? Well, Kevin composed another tweet to explain the situation a little more. After someone fired a bunch of questions that jumped to everyone's minds after seeing the photo, he felt the need to clarify things.
"What happened? Was it planned? Did she just hit the deck without warning? Why isn't the vicar looking round? Why does the other bridesmaid have extra flowers? Who took this beauty?" asked someone.
[[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/KatHarbourne/status/1022200741098934273]]
To explain what happened, Kevin wrote "my sister fainted at the exact moment the judge says you may kiss the bride". He said "hell naw" to the suggestion that it might have been planned, and explained why no-one had rushed to her aid in the photograph: "it's a real split second photograph, a few seconds later we were all over her!"
[[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/K_47/status/1022202442392510464]]
He then went on to say that it was a "sweltering summer's day" and that their venue had turned into a "greenhouse" over the course of the sunny day, providing the perfect conditions for someone to overheat and faint.
[[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/K_47/status/1022203165704421376]]
Luckily she was totally fine, with Kevin saying that "it's all jokes now".
Naturally, people found the whole thing hilarious. Someone asked if Kevin and his wife had the photo framed at home...

[[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/K_47/status/1022416173852504064]]
Someone else suggested he get it prepared as a gift for his sister.
[[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/DigDoug/status/1023173568023212032]]
Others joked that she planned it all along.
[[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/muchwilder/status/1022252465742327813]]
But everyone agreed it was a wedding photo to go down in history.

Congratulations on your anniversary Kevin, and we do hope you get that picture framed.

A bridesmaid-to-be has gone viral after she revealed the dress she was being asked to wear for her best friend's wedding.
The UK woman (who goes by @pilyplum on TikTok) took to the social media app to explain how her friend had let her fiancé pick the bridesmaid dresses for their upcoming nuptials.
Unfortunately, the low-cut blue dress he selected posed a problem for the TikToker, because it's scooped neckline left her 34GG breasts almost entirely exposed.
"So, my best friend let her fiancé pick the bridesmaids' dresses," she said sarcastically in a video as she posed in the pale blue gown.
Clearly, people were shocked by the post, which has racked up over 2.4 million views on TikTok, and hundreds of comments.
Many viewers were of the opinion that the groom-to-be had deliberately picked out a revealing dress for the TikToker.
"Obviously had you in mind when he picked it," one user commented, while another agreed: "Man knew what he was doing."
"He understood the assignment," someone else joked.
Meanwhile, others were adamant that she couldn't wear the dress or she'd upstage the bride.
"Omg what is the bride going to wear to outshine the dress," one person wrote. Another added: "You're not supposed to outdo the bride," and a third chimed in: "For your best friend, the focus should be on the bride and not the bridesmaids."
Others didn't think it was a completely lost cause, and had some useful tips in mind for how she could make the dress more appropriate.
"Find a high sitting vest top to wear under it," one suggested, another agreeing: "Maybe a blue vest underneath or something?"
In a follow-up TikTok, the bridesmaid took some of the comments on board. She tried on the low-cut dress with a blue vest underneath it to make it a little more modest.
While she didn't express an opinion as to whether the vest had solved the problem, many people in the comments made the point that she shouldn't have to wear the dress if she felt uncomfortable.
"I think the dress should be changed entirely if they haven’t considered the bridesmaid," one person argued.

Chances are, on our wedding days, a lot will go wrong. Maybe it will be that drunken second cousin doing an impromptu speech, perhaps it will be that old high school boyfriend you invited because you're "just friends now", but big days like this rarely go to plan and there's almost always something that throws a massive roadblock in your way. Celebrity weddings, on the other hand, they always go perfectly, right?
If you thought that, you'd be completely incorrect. Being rich and famous doesn't make you immune to wedding day mishaps and often when A-listers tie the knot, a lot can go wrong. Don't believe me? Look no further than this list. From Sean Penn shooting at the paparazzi to Justin Timberlake's homeless video scandal, I can assure you that celeb weddings often take a turn for the worst...
Blake Lively's scorched wedding dress
Just because you're part of one of the world's funniest couple, it doesn't mean that you're immune to wedding day drama. When Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds got hitched in 2012, the actress burned her dress with a sparkler, leaving a big scorch mark. But it all turned out well in the end, with an initially "heartbroken" Blake claiming: “Later, my dress was hanging up and Ryan said, 'Isn't that beautiful?' I said, 'What?' And he pointed to the burn. My heart just stopped, because it was such a sensitive little subject. And he said, 'You'll always remember that moment with Florence singing and the sparklers. You have that forever, right there, preserved.' Now that's my favourite part of the dress."

Madonna and Sean Penn's "f**k off" sign
The paparazzi often have no respect whatsoever - and especially not on your wedding day. Apparently, the press were so relentless on Madonna and Sean Penn's big day, that the couple wrote "F**K OFF" in the sand. When that failed, the actor reportedly shot at them. Lesson learned: don't mess with Sean Penn.

Kimye's misspelt wedding table
When Kimye got married, they allegedly rejected place cards in favour of marble tables carved with each guest's name. Unfortunately, some were spelt wrong and, because so many guests showed up with uninvited plus one's in tow, everyone ended up sitting in the wrong seats anyway. Doh.

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend's lengthy cocktail hour
In 2013, this pair unfortunately had to delay their wedding because storms were delaying the flights of some of the singer's family members. While waiting, everyone who was there hit up the cocktail bar for four hours of drinking. How drunk must they have been by the ceremony?!

Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas' wedding burglary
On the morning of the Once Upon a Time star and her now-husband Josh Dallas' nuptials, her wedding planner called to say her car had been robbed. The car containing the couple's ketubah, the traditional Jewish wedding contact i.e. Something very important in Jewish weddings. Amazingly, the day was saved when two people who read Hebrew found the ketubah in the street and got it back to them.

Bethenny Frankel's pee bucket
Just before Bethenny Frankel's wedding to Jason Hoppy, the Real Housewive's of New York City star had to go to the toilet urgently - but had nowhere to go. When the 6-months-pregnant bride-to-be realized she’d have to wait 35 minutes for her wedding ceremony to end before she could pee, she decided to pee in a bucket. Hey, when you gotta go, you gotta go...

Hilary Duff's broken tooth
Who'd have thought you could break your tooth on a bagel? Not me, but this is exactly what happened to Hilary Duff shortly before she got married. Luckily, she was able to find a dentist to sort it out in time for the ceremony.

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel's homeless video
Controversy was rife in the wake of Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake's wedding when it emerged that a video made by friend Justin Huchel - which featured friends who couldn't fund a trip to the couple's wedding in Italy - was shown. The video asked people on the streets of Los Angeles, including individuals who appear to be homeless, to offer wedding congratulations in their absence. The singer later apologised, claiming he had no prior knowledge of the footage.

A bride has been dragged online after she criticized one of her bridesmaids for having gray hair on the wedding day.
A person's wedding day will be one of the biggest days of their lives, should getting married be on the agenda.
People are so intrigued with what makes the perfect wedding day, that TV shows have been dedicated to the details such as dress shopping and general planning.
Some people can perhaps be a bit too hands-on when it comes to wedding planning, and one bride attempted to dictate the color of her bridesmaid's hair.
As reported by the Daily Mail, the bride posted anonymously on a wedding planning Facebook group where she detailed her situation.
"Today we met up for our monthly meeting to go over the agenda and order of the day," the post read. "I noticed when my bridesmaid turned her head that she's got quite a number of grey hairs.
"I mentioned this to her and suggested dying it before my big day. She refused and said hairdresser appts are too expensive and she's allergic to box dye."
The bride went on to refer to the hair as "unsightly" and that she was worried it would "take away from the beauty of [her] dress".
The post was picked up and shared on Reddit's Wedding Shaming forum, where it was met with many confused comments from readers.
One person wrote: "I’ll never understand why getting married gives people the idea that it is ok to act this way. Shaming someone for gray hairs, like honestly, no one cares! How awful."
A second person added: "Do these people even like their friends?! I couldn’t imagine ever thinking this way about my friends let alone say those kinds of things out loud."
A third said: "I am in love with the idea of people getting together for this wedding and going, yeah everyone looks fine, I guess? She'd look a lot better if that third bridesmaid didn't have those few gray hairs though."
It's unknown whether the bride let her bridesmaid attend while having some gray hairs because it's doubtful that they would ruin the day.
