Bunnie Xo posted NSFW photo hours before news broke that couple filed for divorce after nearly 10 years of marriage
Bunnie Xo shared a revealing lingerie snap, just hours before news emerged that Jelly Roll had filed for divorce after nearly a decade of marriage.
As previously reported, the country music star filed for divorce in Williamson County, Tennessee, on May 18.
TMZ was first to report the filing, later reporting that the separation was a "mutual decision by the two and a private family matter".
NSFW posts spark speculation
Shortly before the divorce news surfaced, the Dumb Blonde podcast host posted a photo of herself posing in lingerie while removing a bra strap.
The image featured a caption that read: "She's getting her sparkle back," while Metric's 'Help I'm Alive' played over the post.
About an hour later, she shared a screenshot of a text message that read: "Come here, let me show you what love feels like." The post was accompanied by J. Cole's 'Power Trip,' PEOPLE reported.
Bunnie then reposted a Snoop Dogg Instagram Reel featuring the text: "'You're embarrassing cut it out.'"
The video continued: "Me about to take it up a notch:" alongside footage of a dancing monkey.
Nearly a decade together
The couple first met at one of Jelly Roll's performances at Las Vegas' Country Saloon in 2015 and began dating shortly afterwards.
Around a year later, the singer proposed to Bunnie on stage in Las Vegas before the pair eloped and married in a courthouse ceremony the same evening.
In 2023, they returned to the same chapel to renew their wedding vows.
Bunnie Xo's candid comments resurface
As news of the divorce filing spread, some of Bunnie's previous comments about their relationship and the 'Wild Ones' singer's weight-loss journey also resurfaced online.
The 'Save Me' singer, whose real name is Jason DeFord, has lost more than 275lbs (124kg) after reaching a peak weight of around 550lbs (249kg).
"I’ve been fat my whole life," he previously told The Bobby Bones Show. "[My mom] started calling me Jelly Roll when I was young, and I spent the next 20 years trying to grow into the name."
Speaking to Men's Health earlier this year, he reflected on the challenges he faced before losing the weight.
"I was a prisoner to my own body," he said. "Dude, wiping my a** was a problem. Washing myself properly was a problem. Getting in cars. Every decision I made in life had to be based on my weight.
"If it could hold me, facilitate me, or fit me... people don’t think about every facet of, 'I still want to be able to do that and I can't.'"
During an appearance on The Howard Stern Show in February, Bunnie revealed that his transformation had also boosted his confidence.
"He’s getting his confidence back, and he’s peacocking around. He’s got a little strut in his step, and I think it’s just the cutest thing," she said. "He deserves to have a hot streak. I'm ready for him to just feel his best."
She then claimed that weight loss had a noticeable effect on a man's anatomy.
"I will tell you that it is very true that when a man loses weight, it grows a lot," Bunnie told Stern, before saying that in her husband's case, his private parts had become "severely bigger".
"Oh God, he’s gonna kill me," she added with a laugh.
