Charlie Sheen has reportedly been attacked in his home, with law enforcement revealing that his neighbor allegedly tried to strangle him.
Law enforcement responded to a disturbance at Sheen's Los Angeles area home on Wednesday, revealing a heated dispute with his neighbor, as reported by TMZ.
According to authorities, a 47-year-old woman, unidentified at this time, allegedly forced her way into Sheen's residence, resulting in a physical altercation.
Upon hearing a knock at his door, Sheen opened it only to be met with aggression. The neighbor reportedly ripped Sheen's shirt and attempted to strangle him before returning to her own home.
Paramedics were summoned to the scene, but Sheen did not require hospitalization.
The motives behind the incident remain unclear, with Sheen expressing confusion about the neighbor's actions. This, however, is not the first encounter between Sheen and the woman in question.
Sources reveal that Sheen informed deputies that he believes she previously targeted his car by squirting some kind of sticky liquid on it.
A close source to Sheen shared additional details with TMZ, stating that he had a conversation with the woman after the car incident, suggesting a resolution.
Despite this, the situation escalated when, a day before the attack, the woman allegedly dumped trash in front of Sheen's door. The actor, feeling the need to intervene, took matters into his own hands and called 911.
The neighbor was subsequently arrested at her residence and now faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon and burglary for reportedly forcing her way into Sheen's home during the altercation.

Earlier this month, Sheen shared a revelation about a pivotal moment that marked the beginning of his almost six years of sobriety.
The actor, known for his public battles with substance addiction, opened up about the incident that triggered his decision to change his life.
Despite a long history of struggling with substance abuse, including a 1998 hospitalization for a stroke linked to cocaine abuse, Sheen has successfully maintained his sobriety for nearly six years.
In an interview with People, Sheen revealed: "Next month I'll be six years sober. I have a very consistent lifestyle now. It's all about single dad stuff, and raising my 14-year-old twin boys."
Contrasting his current routine with his past, Sheen admitted to enjoying morning drinks in the past, stating: "I loved drinking in the morning. Loved some scotch in the coffee."
However, a pivotal morning in 2017 became a turning point that prompted Sheen to reassess his life choices. After breaking a promise to drive his daughter to an appointment, Sheen realized the impact of his actions.
He recalled the heartbreaking moment, saying: "We got her there on time, but it broke my heart because she was in the backseat and I could just tell she was thinking, 'Why isn't dad driving?' So I got home and sat with that for the rest of the day. And the next morning I just stopped."
With years of consistent sobriety under his belt, Charlie is now planning to get back into acting in the future, too.
