Chris Evans has broken his social media silence after accidentally sharing a nude snap with his 6.2 million Instagram followers.
In case you're unaware, over the weekend, the Avengers star appeared to show fans what lies beneath his Captain America suit when he shared a video to his Instagram Stories, the Daily Mail reports.
Now, the clip was seemingly innocent enough, showing the 39-year-old actor playing a game of Heads Up - a cell phone game - with his friends on Saturday.

However, as the video ended, a brief shot of Evans' cell phone camera roll flashed up, which featured a close-up picture of a penis. Whose penis was it? We'll never know (but considering the source, fans jumped to the conclusion that it was Evans' member).
The clip was swiftly deleted, but that didn't stop 'Chris Evans' from trending on Twitter the following day.
But now the Knives Out star has finally resurfaced on social media, and not only has he made light of the situation, but he has also used the mishap to promote a good cause.
Writing to his 14 million Twitter followers, Evans typed: "Now that I have your attention", followed by emojis of a man facepalming and shrugging.
He then urged people to hit the polling stations, writing: "VOTE Nov 3rd!!!"
Honestly, Evans doesn't need his Captain America shield to be a superhero - he's pretty perfect just the way he is. Which is why he received such an incredible response following his accidental "leak".
Determined to have anything about Chris Evans trend on social media rather than the NSFW screenshot, people instead shared pictures of Chris just being the decent guy he is.
For example, here's Chris Evans being "the best dog dad ever": Others shared images of the kind-hearted Avengers star doing charity work: And other Twitter users shared clips of Evans just being a wholesome gentleman: Perhaps the most bizarre strategy to flood people's newsfeeds with something other than Captain America's captain was to replace the image was something (or someone) entirely random:Even Chris Evans' Marvel Cinematic Universe co-star Mark Ruffalo decided to lighten the mood, by tweeting his friend saying: "@ChrisEvans Bro, while Trump is in office there is NOTHING you could possibly do to embarrass yourself. See... silver lining."
And this response was not just because Evans is such a nice guy. The truth is, as many of Evans' fans have pointed out on Twitter, the actor has previously struggled with anxiety and depression - something which he has been very open about in interviews.
During a 2017 interview with Motivation Madness, Evans opened up about his struggles with his mental health, saying: "I do struggle. I get anxiety about certain things and press, things like that."
The full video can be seen below:Evans revealed in the interview that his anxiety was holding him back taking the role of Captain America, and so he spoke to his loved ones about what they thought he should do - which eventually led him seeking help from his therapist.
He said: "I asked every human being in my life what they thought, and they said I should do the movie, and then I went to therapy. I thought, 'I’ll talk to my therapist! See what they have to say!'"
In the interview, Evans also shares some of his methods of dealing with anxiety, which may help others.
You see, Evans knew the value of seeking help and opening up about his struggles - and he is an amazing reminder that you should do the same if you're ever dealing with mental health issues.
Sometimes it really is hard to see where Captain America starts and Chris Evans begins.
