Chrissy Teigen has taken to social media to not only reveal that she has received her coronavirus test, but also announce that she is undergoing surgery to have her breast implants removed.

The 34-year-old model made the announcement after sharing a video with her 12.8 million Twitter followers showing her undergoing the coronavirus test.

And I won't lie, this does not look pleasant:

But despite looking uncomfortable, the supermodel can be seen laughing throughout, and captioned the video: "Honestly loved it".

Following the test, Teigen took to Instagram to reveal to her 29.9 million followers that she was now preparing to undergo surgery to have her breast implants removed.

Sharing a topless snap of her frolicking in the ocean, Teigen wrote: "Hi hi! So I posted myself getting a covid test on the twitter, as I’m getting surgery soon. A lot of people are understandably curious (and nosey!) so I’ll just say it here: I’m getting my boobs out!

"They’ve been great to me for many years but I’m just over it. I’d like to be able to zip a dress in my size, lay on my belly with pure comfort! No biggie! So don’t worry about me! All good. I’ll still have boobs, they’ll just be pure fat. Which is all a tit is in the first place. A dumb, miraculous bag of fat."

The post amassed over 1.5 million likes in less than 10 hours, and Teigen received many comments from fans praising her honesty about the surgery.

Teigen revealed she had implants back in March during an interview with Glamour UK back in March. The Sports Illustrated model said:

"Yeah, I did my boobs when I was about 20 years old. It was more for a swimsuit thing. I thought, if I’m going to be posing, laid on my back, I want them to be perky! But then you have babies and they fill up with milk and deflate and now I am screwed."

She continued:

"I had a quarter ‘teardrop’ cup in the bottom and filled out the breast line. But I want them out now. If I could do one thing, it would be to have a lift.

"I think you’re supposed to replace [implants] every 10 years. But when you have kids, you think about [the risks] of surgery and I think, ‘This is not the way I want to die, in boob surgery."

She also spoke about her own body image issues as a younger woman, stating: "I used to weigh myself every morning, afternoon and night. I knew what the scales would say after each meal.

"I did that for eight years and had this one weight I wanted to be at. That changed with [my kids] where it took me a year to be comfortable with my new normal number."

Let's hope Teigen's open and candid attitude about her own body helps others to become more accepting of their own.
