Chrissy Teigen is pretty much always a delight. Whether she's posting photos of her adorable kids or talking some smack online, the model - best known for her appearances in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issues - has this social media thing pretty much in the palm of her hands.
But while fellow Instagram queens like Kim Kardashian appeal to the masses with tantalising selfies and glamorous pictures of sunny places and super suppers, Chrissy Teigen gets those likes and retweets by being more relatable than perhaps you would expect your average supermodel to be.
She can be charming and glamorous, don't get me wrong, but more often than not, Chrissy Teigen is awkward and clumsy and sassy and this writer for sure is here for it. Now that Thanksgiving is behind us, it's time to have a look at this pretty epic Thanksgiving from Chrissy Teigen, and thank our lucky stars that we've got her.
Chrissy Teigen may be a really good cook, releasing her second cookbook earlier this year entitled Cravings: Hungry For More, but Thanksgiving can get the better of any culinary expert, and so it proved with her hilariously tragic Instagram post.
Having shared with her Insta followers the progress of a sweet potato pie she was making for the holiday feast via Instagram Story, followers of Chrissy Teigen might've wondered what had happened to the end result when it didn't end up on the story. Turns out, there was a reason for that.
Yeah, it seems as if Chrissy really screwed the pooch on that one. "In case you are wondering why I didn’t put my finished pie on my instastory," she explained in a post she put up after the fact, and although she did eventually put the burnt pie on her story, it went up with the simple caption of "F**k", implying that yeah, the pie wasn't her best effort.
All the same, though, this didn't stop Chrissy Teigen from having an amazing time with her husband John Legend and their two kids this Thanksgiving. There might not have been sweet potato pie, but they did get to enjoy gravy with stock and turkey wings, and Teigen shook off her pie-making hoodoo to prepare two delicious-looking pumpkin pies.
All in all, looks like a good Thanksgiving for Chrissy Teigen, John Legend and their kids Luna and Miles Theodore, who was born earlier this year. Except for the fact that John Legend wasn't there; he was busy putting those vocal chords to good use at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, a fact that Chrissy Teigen reminded him of in classically humorous fashion.
Ah, Chrissy Teigen. Bringing the sass and the supper this Thanksgiving, though it might've taken you a couple of tries to get it right this time around. I only wish I could have gotten to enjoy all the food she had on the table. Maybe she'll invite me next year.
