Comedian Heather McDonald has shared the moment she collapsed on-stage after joking that Jesus loves her the most.

As reported by The Independent, 51-year-old McDonald was performing at a comedy club in Tempe, Arizona, when she suddenly fainted in front of the shocked audience.

The nasty fall, which occurred on February 5, led to McDonald being transported to a nearby hospital, where she was diagnosed with a fractured skull.

However, what's potentially more painful than that is the embarrassing jokes made in the lead-up to her fall.

On Tuesday, during her Juicy Scoop podcast, McDonald shared the moment she collapsed, and the now-ironic jokes that preceded the fall."

In the video, she can be seen on stage telling the crowd: "I don’t mean to brag, I know you don’t care, but I want you to know, I’m vaxxed, double vaxxed, boosted and flu shot. And I’m going to be honest, I’ve got the shingles shot too," she said, before adding: "And I still get my period. What? YES!"

You can watch the moment unfold below - but be warned, it's a nasty fall:

McDonald then added that she, "traveled, went to Mexico twice, did meet and greets, never got covid", before joking: "Clearly, Jesus loves me the most, seriously."

However, seconds later, the comedian collapsed on the stage - hitting her head hard in the process. Unable to determine if the fall was a part of the show, the crowd awkwardly gasp and laugh simultaneously.

The comedian accompanied the video with the hashtag, "#karma".

Following the show, McDonald took to her Instagram Stories to apologize to those in attendance that night, saying: "Oh my God, I’m so, so, so, so sorry. I got up, I did one joke and I felt so dizzy."

"I cannot believe this happened," the comedian added. "I feel so terrible that they had to tell everyone to leave and then cancel the second show."

In a statement to NBC Phoenix, McDonald's representatives revealed that the collapse was the result of "dehydration".

Since the fall, many of McDonald's fans have taken to social media to wish her well on her recovery.

After the latest episode of her podcast though, it looks like she's still able to laugh it off - a true professional!
