Demi Lovato's recent struggle with addiction has been well-documented, but today, she's has hit the headlines for two very reasons.
Firstly, PEOPLE.com reported that a source close to Lovato has confirmed that the singer has broken up with her boyfriend of four months, Henry Levy. And despite reports alleging he was Lovato's "sober companion", this is apparently not the case.
Secondly, Lovato has quite literally "hit back" and legit knocked her personal trainer's tooth clean out. Seriously, if that isn't a commitment to getting stronger, both physically and mentally, I don't know what is.
This is the moment Lovato's personal trainer, Jay Glazer, rang a bell in grim celebration of the singer knocking out one of his pearly whites:As the clip above demonstrates, Glazer was good-humored about the incident. He jokingly rings an "unbreakable" bell and says, "Ring the bell. Demi's knocked my tooth out", before revealing that the singer's punch was so strong that she managed to knock out his tooth while he was wearing a mouth guard.
In between this, Lovato apologizes for knocking out Glazer's tooth, and he jokes, "She's not sorry."
The 26-year-old subsequently posted the clip to Instagram with the following caption:
"Holy shit I literally knocked @jayglazer's tooth out during training this morning - while he was wearing a mouthpiece!!!! Hahahahaha sorry (not sorry) Jay!!! So coach, when's my first fight?! #unbreakableperformance"
In an interview with Fitness Magazine, Lovato, who has spoken openly about her struggle with anorexia, gave the following advice to anyone struggling with their body image:
"We all have problem areas. I'm always going to have thick thighs. I can't change that, and obsessing over it will only make me miserable. Learning to be grateful for our bodies and taking care of them are the best ways for us to empower ourselves physically, mentally, and spiritually."
PEOPLE's source also revealed how Demi is “taking care of herself and is in a positive place. She’s working out and getting back in the studio to make music.”
Well, if Lovato ever loses her voice, she's definitely got a promising career in boxing ahead of her!
