Clueless star Stacey Dash has spoken candidly about her drug addiction battle.

During an appearance on the Dr. Oz Show, the 54-year-old opened up about how serious her addiction became, and how she would take around "18 to 20" Vicodin pills a day at her worst.

She admitted to spending "about five to ten grand" each month to buy the pills — which are typically used to treat moderate to severe pain.

"Eighteen to 20 Vicodin a day, that’s expensive," Oz said, to which a tearful Dash replied: "Yeah, I lost everything."

Now, Dash — who is best known for playing Dionne in the 1995 hit rom-com — is five years sober.

During the interview, Dash told Dr. Oz: "I'm not blaming doctors at all because it was my choice to take more, you know?" It was my choice to take that extra one even though I wasn't in pain. I chose to do that because the Vicodin filled that hole inside of me."

"It filled that anger. It calmed that anger down. It slowed my brain down. It gave me the ease so that I could deal with life. That's how I became addicted. It's no one's fault but my own," she added.

"The greatest blessing is that not only have I been able to be honest with myself and become a better person," she continued. "I’ve been able to understand my parents and that they did love me, and that they were doing the best they could and they were just sick. They were addicted."

The actress credited religion for helping her achieve sobriety, and although she said that it "has not been easy" and that she spent days "on her knees", God "filled that hole" inside of her and gave her strength.

"Do I have to fight for it? Sometimes, yeah. Are there moments when I wake up and I’m like, 'This is a bad day. I want to do something bad.' I know if I get on my knees and I pray that Jesus will help me — he has for five years."

In a Facebook post, published on October 14, Dash said she would be sharing her "deepest, darkest secret."

"I thank the Lord for being able to say that I have grown more over the last 5 years than I have in my entire life. I am so blessed to be surrounded by people who have loved and supported me through my most challenging time," she wrote.

"Thank you all! I encourage anyone who has a story they are scared of telling to share it with the world. You never know who will be able to relate to you and who it can help. Share this with anyone you know who is needing love and light at this moment."

During her conversation with Dr. Oz, she also touched on some trauma from her past, involving an abusive ex-boyfriend, who left her with a broken arm.

"He would beat me so bad, I couldn’t get out of bed for two weeks. I couldn’t walk —[he broke] my arm, tied me to the bed for three days," she said. "Some part of me thought that’s what I deserved."
