Being one of the most beautiful people on the planet is a seriously tough gig.

Emily Ratajkowski, one such beautiful person, who is often beautiful on the internet, has had some rough patches in the past. She famously appeared in Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines video (much to the dismay of many of her fans) and also had a part in the Fyre Festival promotion - and we all know how much of a disaster that turned out to be.

But, for the most part, she's been a pretty good role model for women, and has spoken up on feminist issues where others in her position might have shied away. So, with that in mind, it was strange to see so many people accusing her of body shaming her friend in a recent Instagram post.

The picture, which showed Ratajkowski and a pal lazing on the beach, seemed innocent enough. However, some people assumed that the model had set up the shot in order to compare her body to her friend's, and called her out on it.

"She surely would have known people would write these disgusting comments. Why would she subject her friend to this humiliation and online bullying by posting this?" commented @katize_film.

"Oh please. She knew exactly what she was doing when she posted this photo," added @antonia.sin. "She has the better body, she knows she does (but pretends she doesn't) and she's happy about that."

"Be real. You posted this for your own attention..." said @carlos.ray.75.

But Ratajkowski clapped back.

"I love my girl's body and her and I both think she looks great here and that this is a very cute pic of us getting severe sunburns," she wrote in response to the haters. "I'm proud she wears my suits. Different bodies are beautiful and I hope y'all learn that soon."

And a lot of people sided with EmRata on the issue.

"How are so many people missing the mark? Emily didn’t try to make her friend inferior but if your assumption is that that’s what happened in that picture, your internal bias is showing," said @amy_.winter. "Her friend is a grown woman who will have known what the repercussions are on the internet for a picture like this and -GUESS WHAT- you’re adding to that!"

"Wow... I cannot believe the mean comments," added @mikehakimi. "Both these women are beautiful in their own way, no need for the disgusting comments, please grow up."

Basically, the trolls sort of played themselves on this one. All Ratajkowski was doing was showing that everybody has a different body type, and there's no 'correct' shape to have when tanning your buns on the beach.
