Anxiety is something that many of us face. Whether it be once in a while or every single day - battling against anxiety can seem like an unwinnable war.

And you may think that anxiety is something that gets easier the more money and success you have, but that is not the case.

For example, Chris Evans - one of the most beloved and successful actors of our time, Captain America himself - has taken to social media to quietly and candidly reveal that he was struggling with a bout of anxiety.

Tweeting to his 15.1 million followers, the Captian America star wrote: "Nothing like anxiety for no reason whatsoever. Looking like a 4pm bedtime for me. Happy Friday!"

It wasn't long before the post caught the attention of the MCU star's fans, and, as of this writing, the tweet has amassed over 291,000 'likes' and 20,000+ retweets in less than 24 hours.

Many fans praised Evans for sharing his struggle, with people tweeting about how his honest post helped them feel "seen" and "validated" amid their own battles with anxiety.

"The way it strangely makes me feel seen that Chris Evans is being this relatable. Sleep easy tonight, king." one person replied.

Another tweeted: "This honestly made me want to cry. Anxiety knocks me on my ass on the regular and it feels like a personal failing. To see a hugely successful person share that they’re in the same boat? That reminds me to be kinder to myself, which ironically makes me feel less anxious."

Other Twitter users even took the time to try and ease Evans' anxiety.

Some shared helpful tips that can help in the event of an anxiety attack, such as taking the time to take note of your surroundings...

...or even just listening to the right calming track on YouTube...

...or taking 20 minutes to do some yoga to help ease anxiety:

Others, however, tried a completely different method entirely, and instead bombarded the Marvel icon with pictures and videos of their pets:

This certainly is not the first time the actor, 40, has opened up about his battles with anxiety. Per USA Today, Evans revealed during an appearance on The Hollywood Reporter's podcast Awards Chatter that he initially turned down the role of Steve Rogers in the MCU due to his mental health.

He recalled: "It manifested in anxiety and a little stress. I’ve gotten a lot better at it now. But at the time, it's hard to separate. It’s hard to know if the path you are taking is the wrong one because the way I'm feeling isn't healthy."

After turning down a screen test for the role of Captain America in an effort to focus on his well-being, Evans revealed that he spoke with therapists, family, and future Avengers co-star Robert Downey Jr.

When it dawned on him that he was "making decisions based on fear", he agreed to play the role, recalling: "It was the best decision I've ever made, and I really owe that to (Marvel CEO) Kevin Feige for being persistent and helping me avoid making a giant mistake."
