It's been a year since Kylie Jenner confirmed the news that every superfan had suspected for the previous six months or so: she had been pregnant, and had given birth to a baby girl.
"I'm sorry for keeping you in the dark through all the assumptions," she said at the time.
"I understand you're used to me bringing you along on all my journeys. my pregnancy was one I chose not to do in front of the world. I knew for myself i needed to prepare for this role of a lifetime in the most positive, stress free, and healthy way i knew how. there was no gotcha moment, no big paid reveal i had planned. I knew my baby would feel every stress and every emotion so I chose to do it this way for my little life and our happiness.
"pregnancy has been the most beautiful, empowering, and life changing experience I've had in my entire life and I'm actually going to miss it. I appreciate my friends and especially my family for helping me make this special moment as private as we could. my beautiful and healthy baby girl arrived February 1st and i just couldn't wait to share this blessing. I've never felt love and happiness like this i could burst! Thank you for understanding [sic]."
And now, almost exactly 12 months to the day, the reality star has taken to Instagram once more to mention a baby - though this time in a much more cryptic way.
Posing with her beau and baby daddy, Travis Scott, Jenner posted a picture to Instagram with the simple - but confusing - caption: "baby #2?"
This sent some fans into a frenzy, with many of them wondering whether this was actually a legit announcement or just a tease from the 21-year-old.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHGGGGG PLES ANOTHER ONE ????," said one excited Instagrammer.
"Give us a sibling!" commented another.
"WAIT ARE YOU PREGNANT?" added a third... and a fourth... and a fifth.
Others, however, took a different message from the photo and caption combo: "Y'all, she means that Travis is her baby, not that she's pregnant. Chill."
And, while that may be the case, it has been reported that Jenner and Scott do want another baby soon.
"They want another baby," a source allegedly told People. "Travis has been adjusting his work schedule so he can spend as much time [as possible] with Kylie and Stormi. There will definitely be another baby sooner rather than later."
The source also said that "Kylie wants a big family. [Travis] bends over backwards to cater to Kylie and Stormi," and that the young couple might be planning on tying the knot at some point in the not-too-distant future.
"Kylie is taking marriage at a more cautious pace after seeing her sisters’ past relationships fail," the source claimed. "Things are in a great place with Travis. They’re always together and just really happy."
For now, then, we're going to have to take all of this - the baby #2 rumours, the whispers about marriage - with a grain of salt.
