Florence Pugh spotted with huge ring on her finger sparking engagement rumors
Florence Pugh has sparked engagement rumors after being seen with a huge ring on her finger.
The 30-year-old actress, who has been linked to Peaky Blinders star Finn Cole, also 30, since last year, flashed the eye-catching jewellery on the red carpet for Cynthia Erivo's Dracula.
Pugh was dressed in a high-neck black velvet gown adorned with a floral design. She paired the chic look with a slick of dark red lipstick and styled her hair in a loose updo as she posed for photographers.
Romance rumors
The pair were first romantically linked in September 2024 after they were seen leaving an after-party together following the London premiere of Netflix's hit The Perfect Couple. They have reportedly been friends for years.
A source later told The Sun: “They are both putting everything into their careers but have found something special between them.”
Although the Midsommar star did not name Cole directly, she confirmed during her October cover shoot with Vogue that she is in a relationship and deeply in love.
She said: “I am [in a relationship]. OK, so something that I resonate with is that I believe that if magic is real, then it's falling in love.”
Opening up about the romance, she added: “We are figuring what we actually are. And I think for the first time, I'm not allowing myself to go on a roller-coaster.”
The actress continued: “I'm allowing myself to take time to let something evolve and let it be completely real to its core, as opposed to racing into that.
“Falling is the most amazing feeling, but unfortunately, if that's the only thing that you know in a relationship, then that's the thing that you chase. That's not gonna last," she added.
Cole previously showed his support for Pugh in April last year when he attended the red carpet premiere of her Marvel film Thunderbolts.
While they did not pose directly together, and the actor even stepped out solo for photos, he appeared in a group picture alongside Pugh's friends and family, marking a subtle red carpet debut of sorts.
Cynthia Erivo commands the stage in Dracula
Pugh's appearance came as Erivo celebrated the opening night of her new stage production of Dracula at the Noël Coward Theatre.
After years in the spotlight for Wicked, the 39-year-old has taken on a dramatically different challenge, performing alone in a two-hour adaptation of Bram Stoker’s gothic novel.
The production sees her play 23 characters and deliver 20,000 words of dialogue, blending live performance with technology that projects close-ups onto a screen as she moves through quick costume changes.
The show has not been without scrutiny, as during early preview performances, some audience members commented that Erivo appeared to still be learning parts of the script and, at times, relied on an autocue.
Speaking to the BBC after opening night, the Harriet star addressed the chatter: “I'm not paying attention to any of them as no-one knows the experience except me...It's not for me.”
“I have a job to do and I want to do it as well as I can and I want to do it with all my heart. I don't let the comments take the energy that I should be spending on the stage," she added.
Erivo acknowledged that she was “still learning my lines and figuring it out” during previews, adding that “bit by bit it's become something that's a part of me, and everyone's learning process is different”.
